Remember, we're one hit away from being a horrible team again. We're not great, but we can at least be competetive with Pennington taking the snaps.
Thats true. Hopefully Pennington's injury woes are behind. He had enought time to heal up and he's packed on some extra muscle. If he is ever going to make it through a season now is it. Besides, he took some shots already and he looks uneffected by them. thats a great sign
If anyone read MMQB by Peter King(I hate him) the only mention of the Jets was that Chad Pennington was NOT the best QB to play this past weekend. Thanks for going out of your way to say even though he had the best stats, he wasn't the best player on the field. That means a lot to us Peter.
We could win 10 games with Pennington healthy all year and IF Barlow can handle some workload productively out of the backfield.
Nice to see you have come around, I started thinking this way after we played the Giants and I took a hard look at the schedule. As bad as we were we did some very encouraging things on D in that game. It's clear our O is going to be fine against the typical NFL mediocrity. Can we turn it up a notch against some of the really good teams? This week should be fun just to find out if we can compete at another level. I'm not overly concerned if we win or lose more how we play the game. A win would be a complete freak out and change the entire complexion of this season. Besides Barlow I want to see if we continue to use Smith in spots at RB and try and develop Leon as a legit third down back in the Bruce Harper mold?
