I want to keep my expectations low but it's hard not to be excited with what's going on with the Jets.

I've been saying this the entire offseason but it's becoming more and more clear on a week to week basis...

We're not the same old Jets anymore... this is a different team... a different mentality...

The core of this team is going to be the group that eventually gets the Jets to the Super Bowl... whether it's this year, or in five years...

I believe in the Jets and what they are now doing.

We've got great times ahead Jets fans. :)

    12-4... J E T S JETS JETS JETS

Why do I find Jay Feely so hilarious. I'm not even sure he was joking. I think thats part of it, its impossible to tell if the things he says are jokes or he is serious. I can just picture him sitting by himself on the bench counting f-bombs.

I heard yesterday that Ryan got choked up in the locker room after his 1st victory. Reading more into detail what happened the night before the game and after, makes me appreciate the fact that Woody Johnson & Mike T brought him here to be our HC.

Now I totally understand why Ravens players said they'd go to hell and back for this guy. Fucking glad he's our HC. Go Rex. Go Jets.

i hope woody gives the game ball to Sanchez. while many people deserved it, it seems like it would matter most to Sanchez.

As advertised. That was one of my caveats about getting on board. Rex talks a great game, but can he put it together and make it happen on the field through his players.

As advertised: it appears to be so.

    Go Jets!

Same here. That defensive performance was WAY Better than I expected. If he can follow up with a performance like that against the Pats it will be hard not to be very excited about the season.

Yeah it was a whole lot better than I thought it would be too. I wanna see how they perform against a stout OL, but I'm guessing it won't be much different.

"A lot of people might laugh that he cried. But for us guys who are older and understand the game, we understood. That really shows how much he really cares about this team and how he's putting his heart and soul into this team. I don't want another coach, honestly. If I can keep him for the rest of my career, I'm going to do the best that I can to do that."

"We need to call the NFLPA and put (Ryan) on the banned substance list, because whatever he did, what he said was performance-enhancing"

I'm sooo happy to have this guy as a HC...

I like that Ryan found a non-player to give the ball to. The Jets have just started the season, they haven't finished anything at all yet. Giving it to Sanchez would have been an insult to the defense. Giving it to Jenkins or Harris or Revis would have belittled the contribution the offense did make to the game.

Giving it to Woody lets the Jets go into the important game next week still vying to be the big difference maker in the Jets first really important win of the year.

And if you look at it the facts are that Woody did deserve the ball based on what we saw yesterday. He's the guy who shelled out the big bucks and let Tannenbaum go nuts on the payroll to import most of the people who made a difference yesterday. We're paying Bart Scott like he's a superstar. Ditto for Sanchez, who was much more expensive than anybody the Jets would have drafted 1 and 2 plus the 3 journeymen.

Woody has laid out a lot of cash to make this team better. He did it to sell PSL's, but he also did it to make this a better team right now than you'd have thought possible after the disaster in 2007.

    Kris Jenkins.

It's his only chance to play for somebody fatter than he is. And I make that comment with love and respect. no homo.

We'll probably have to wait until week 3 to see that. Jenkins has already demoralized that overrated Patriots O-line.

We'll see how they respond to the overloading Rex likes to do. Brady is getting hit, that's all I know for sure. Whether he dumps off to Welker on a screen and burns is a whole other question.

I won't be in the least bit surprised to see more than one intentional late hit on Brady just to let him know this is what he's going to get the rest of his time in Cheatsboro. It's like the little kid who finally stands up to the bully.... he's going to get beat on but the bully now knows that he's going to get punched in the mouth too....

Reading these quotes from players about Rex makes me wanna run the through the freaking wall in my living room for him.
