http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...edskins-ravens-top-nfls-mostimproved-offenses I thought this was an interesting outside perspective, if nothing more than someone elses opinion.
I think a lot depends on who starts at QB. But yeah I agree we have improved over last year with Vick and decker. Ford could be huge if he's healthy.
I agree with that synopsis except for the Ford part. I can't go off a performance from 4 seasons ago to keep hopes up for him. I know he's just holding out hope but that's too far removed to hold any relevance. Other than that I like the Vick, Decker and Breno signings.
I like the attention, but how hard could it be to actually improve our offense from last year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Love the Decker and Vick signings but it's not like our offense couldve got any worse than last year regardless of who was brought in lol
Wait until after the draft, our offense will look a whole lot more complete. Can't wait! *Bart Scott voice*
Lol. Really? Matt Simms? Why do people like him so much? He been nothing but a 3rd stringer his whole career and will always be one.
Matt Simms has one season on an NFL roster and he was the #2 QB for that season. Other than that your post is dead on balls accurate.
I think so too, but I don't believe it's that open. I think Smith will have to be horrid and Vick perfect
I agree the article is misinformed. The job is Smith's to lose. Smith will have to play very bad to lose the job. Nor is the offense as of yet improved. Our biggest weaknesses last year was our poor pass protection and poor secondary. Both were horrible and both look even worse right now. Smith might be improved but the offense as of now is not looking better nor is the defense.
how does our pass protection look worse? was losing Howard that big a blow? and given the improved WR corps due to Decker and even Nelson (who will have a full camp on his side) and the upgrade at QB wether from a more experienced Smith or Vick its almost Impossible for this offense not to be better than last year's, on paper at least. good enough to compete with NE? we'll see, not willing to go that far as is.
I want to wait until after the draft. So far I like the additions of Decker and Vick but I think Vick is backup or doesn't play a full season anyway and we won't know how inflated Decker's numbers were playing with Manning for awhile.
Wasn't the only reason Smith was ahead of him on the depth chart because Smith was drafted in the 2nd round? Regardless, your statement was ridiculous. You talked about how he was a "3rd stringer his whole career" when his "whole career" involved one season on an NFL roster and he wasn't the third stringer. You made it sound like he had been a 3rd string QB for 7 years.
According to common sense,Genos the young guy coming off a decent rookie year,Vicks the old veteran who's time as a starter is over.Only way Vick sees the field week 1 is if Genos injured.John Idzik drafted Geno, vick was brought in to be a backup or a plan B incase Geno shits the bed .Geno will be give the chance to keep the job
IMO, we are going to have to see what Geno can do with an improved corps of WRs and hopefully an improved rushing tandem (with or without Chris Johnson). With a year older and massive experience under his belt, I think we shall wait and see what he can do with the offense. It is not just Geno that we need to see improve, but the whole offense. Better rushing, better protection, and better air attack...Kind of hard to judge whether we are worst or better off than last year when we haven't even started training camp or exhibition games or see what Geno being a year experienced.
I don't believe you have much common sense so when you suggest something is common sense I can't help but laugh. I believe you're hysterical, illogical and likely a troll account. That's why I only have the unfortunate experience of reading your drivel when using Tapatalk. What you've described is an opinion, not "common sense". Many including myself think geno had an underwhelming at best rookie season and that Vick will easily beat him out for the starting QB position unless he made tremendous strides in the offseason. Given that he was only a second round pick the jets aren't committed to him like they would have been an early first round pick. Of course that is also just an opinion.
