I guess it's a new series--just put it on now--the Top 10 Most/Best on a bunch of different topics--rushing seasons, feared tacklers, return aces, WR tandems, etc. Pretty cool and some great footage. Watching Top 10 Most Feared Tacklers on now--what a great show. Incredible hits--stuff we don't see anymore. Lynch, Atwater, Lott, Lambert, LT, Butkus et al. Caught the end of Top 10 Rushing Season and you forget what an incredible runner OJ was. Holy crap was that dude great. Aside from the stabbing. _
Naw, the NFL:Top 10 show has been around for a few years since '08 I believe. Unless this is a totally different show. Those are my favorites though. I watched the Top 10 Busts of all time at least 5 times. Its both great and sad.
Stokes you're just asking for old man jokes now. You've never heard of the top 10 list show!? It's been around as long as NFL Network has existed man. They have like 8 billion episodes.
I honestly had no idea. I DVRed a few. I can't wait for Return Aces. Terry Metcalf better be top 5. _
In other news, they have this cool countdown on the radio, where they play the top 40 most popular songs. It's pretty groovy. Some cat named Casey Kasem hosts it.
Pre NFL Network, the "Top Ten" list shows were a cheap way to fill air time at the sports network where I worked. When the NFL Network started, they raided us for producers, writers etc. One producer who jumped ship was very gung-ho on the format, and he soon had them on air. Write a script, slap the voiceover over some old clips...and voila...there's a show. They took it a bit further with some on camera blurbage with sports reporters...good stuff. They do a pretty good job...but with their library of footage it'd be hard not to.
