    Next years schedule

This will probably be a brutal schedule, especially the away games. I say probably because of the unknowns of FA & the draft.

    * * The eighth game on each list depends on whether we finish 2nd or 3rd in the division.

    ~ ~ ~ HOME ~ ~ ~
    New England
    Buffalo
    Miami
    Cleveland
    Pittsburgh
    Philadelphia
    Washington
    * * Denver or Kansas City

    ~ ~ AWAY ~ ~
    New England
    Buffalo
    Miami
    Baltimore
    Cincinnati
    Dallas
    NY Giants
    * * Jacksonville or Tennessee

That is brutal. The only crappy teams on that schedule are Cleveland and Washington. That's out of 16 games. But a lot changes in a year.

it's pretty easy to figure out.

Only 2 games are decided by your finish. The rest are already set in stone.

But I don't see where the NFL announced who will be home and who will be away.

Hopefully the Jets will be a better team in 2007 and the will not be considered an easy game on someone else's schedule.

Mangini has made a lot of improvements in less than a year. Let's see how this team looks in September. If we're ever going to be contenders, we can't pick and choose. Winning a SB means we can take on tough teams.

    Bring 'em on...

We still have a very realistic chance of winning the division so Jacksonville could be replaced by Indianapolis and Denver with San Diego. That would be brutal.

Teams change year to year. Some of the teams that look tough now, won't be tough next season and visa versa.

Historically, the Jets do not do well in years they play the NFC East..that explains the Jets bad series records vs. NFC East teams....

Exactly. In August, fans who saw Tampa Bay on their favorite team's schedule may have very well said, "That Buccaneers game is going to be tough."

It's not a home game. He doesn't get paid for that.

I will be at the Ravens game.

Then pending on the schedule, a couple games in the Meadowlands.

Herman Edwards may face the Jets in 2007 and he definitely will in 2008 (I don't expect him to get fired or to resign before then). Both games would be played in New Jersey.
