Bare with me..my grammer is awful, and this is just some sort of a rant/venting thread(yeah I know that sounds gay)

We really need to sign Leon Washington next year (if he can get healthy) and really try to expand this option play with Brad Smith and Washington.

Get Braylon into the mix and get some odd chemistry with Smith throwing deepish balls (from mid field) to our fastest receiver Clowney.

After the Cincinnati game there were reports of players on the Bengals saying when Brad Smith came in they saw formations that were confusing and odd.
Look what happened to us after the first Miami game. I think our entire Defensive staff was confused, and didn't have enough time during the game to solve it. Then later in the year at home we solved that offense and completely shut it down(but yeah Tedd Ginn ripped us)
    --------Revamp the Seminole!!--------

Speaking of which everytime I have seen Mark throw the deep ball from midish field to Braylon..Braylon has been open everytime. The chemistry and connection between Mark and Edwards just isn't there yet obviously, but if they could establish that then hellll it would be pretty damn scary.

We got the talent now and are built to win now, but with the rookie HC & QB I don't think the playbook has really been touched yet to get it going. (and hell can't really blame them..still a learning experience for each of our Rookies.)

Fuck it the NFL is a QB/Passing league now, but we need plays like this to open up the passing game for Mark. Usually it's the other way around heh get the running game to open the passing plays..

This off-season alot of attention needs to be into the Offense. The D is under control..We just need to be able to score 20points a game on Offense and we will be a fucking sick team nobody will want to play.

I just hope we didn't give up a lot of intel to the Bengals in the last game. Lets hope we have some ammo left in the trunk, not that this D is going to ask a lot from the O.

if the Jets are up by 20 pts with 2 minutes to go, I'll allow it.

That is a possibility. Brad Smith is a better passer than any RB in the NFL, why not? He used to be QB before and Im surprised he hasn't been used to throw in the wildcat yet. Maybe we are keeping it secret and let him unleash it at a critical time in the super bowl ? :breakdance:

the history of this team has told me that if its not the QB throwing, then no one should throw it.

No more HB passes or anyone else. Sanchez throws and everyone else runs.

Rex said "we have several plays where Brad throws it out of that formation."

Brad Smith threw for more yards in college than Mark Sanchez FYI.

Brad Smith started 48 games and threw for 8800 yds and Mark Sanchez started 16 and threw for around 4000 yds FYI.

Then why isn't Brad Smith a starting QB? How come he was never given a shot? That obviously means he can do well in the pro game right?

    That fact means absolutely nothing.

I'm honestly hoping that Sanchez improves enough to the fact that we don't have to use that Seminole/ WildTiger shit, maybe we can use Brad Smith in other packages

I think Curtis Martin and Wayne Chrebet would disagree with you.

Personally, I want to see Smith throw a pass, but I doubt it happens in these playoffs. If Schotty is still here next year, then probably. There's no way they're going to take a risk like that at this point.

Not that I mind. Just keep letting BSmith find those holes and go running for daylight!

Outside of the Brad Smith plays, there wasn't much outsmarting going on. Good 'ole ground and pound.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Brad Smith throw deep if it's there, otherwise he's been effective simply running the option.
