...and the Jets take D'brick at #4, and Mathias Kiwanuka at #29. Cutler goes 10 to the Cardinals, Vince Young drops to 13 to the Ravens. Wow, think this could be close to the truth? If it is, a lot of people will be surprised come draft day. We assume these QBs will be such hot commodities, but that is opinion based on the position being so important. Take a look.

I would be alright with D'Brick and Kiwanuka. Kiwanuka would fill a need with the loss of abe and he is capable of recording double digit sacks when he matures. Although I would like to see us use the 29th on Mangold, I could see us taking Kiwanuka.

Bleh, terrible. D'Bick is a wasted pick, we DO NOT need an LT. There is no chance of us taking him, none!
And DeAngelo at #27? That's almost impossible.

You do realize that an orange pilon was more effective than Adrian Jones, right?

I wouldn't mind it also. Kiwanuka was great at BC, and has the size and ability to be a star.

I don't know why Vernon Davis isn't more of a possibility for us. We wouldnt have to trade anything and D'brick may be good but taking an o linemen so high in such a talent filled draft I think is a waste. Look what Gates did for SD look at what Gonzalez has been in KC and even Shockey in NY. Is there any reason we arent looking more into Davis?

Listen I know the past is a good indicator but if you go by that then from now on we aren't able to draft a NT (Robertson) TE (aforementioned) WR ( Because Keyshawn underacheived) RB ( Blair Thomas). I guess we can only really Draft MLBs and a QB because of the Namath and Vilma success everything else we need to get someway else. IF we can trade down EVEN if not we can't I say we take Davis. Hes been described as a WR is a TE's body. Instead of dumpoffs to Martin or the FB we'll have a TE.

We really do need a good tight end, but a LT for the next 10 to 15 years would be a huge help for a new off. We should be able to pick up another TE at 29 like Pope (Georgia), Lewis (ucla) these two guys are huge and can block and catch or Fasano (ND) not the best blocker but can catch. 35 could be used for another OL or Linebacker and why is no one talking about maybe getting LaVar Arrington at LB he is a monster.

Sporting News latest has Cutler dropping all the way to 17 (Vikings). Jets taking AJ Hawk at 4 and Davin Joseph at 29.

Cutler dropping to 17 is as likely as the Jets going 16-0 this year.

The Ravens, Browns, Cardinals, Raiders, Packers pick before 17 and they would all take Cutler if hes available.

Kyle Boller (actually came on strong at the end of the year)
    Charlie Frye
    Kurt Warner
    Aaron Brooks
    Aaron Rogers (sucked in pre-season)

    Yeah.

Wow. Tambi Hali falls out of the first round? I wouldn't be too pleased if the Jets passed on him with their #29 pick.

Rodgers bad in the preaseason means nothing, they used a 1st rounder on him, they wouldn't take Cutler...and the Cards resigned Warner for a few years because they're set on using him, they need defense and OLine and they might actually be a contender. The Browns want Frye to be their future QB, they won't waste their pick with all their defensive needs either. It's either the Raiders or Ravens, but I think one of them ends up with Vince Young actually...and the other passes on Cutler.

Kiwi gets his sacks in bunches just like another player we once had. He's got great size and speed, however he doesn't put it all together like many college DE's. I don't think he'd be a great 3-4 fit anyway. He's an edge rusher, and would be stiff in coverage.
