I hope Adrian Jones doesn't embarass himself all year at RT like he did last night. I still don't think he is physical enough to start at tackle in today's NFL--I think he should backup D'Brick. Since Kafka and Clements may not be the answer, I was wondering if Steve Morley could play RT. He certainly has the size, and I read he came into camp in great shape. He may not be the answer either, but I'm sure it isn't Adrian Jones. We took a big hit when Runyan chose the Eagles over the jets--Runyan WAS the physical presence we needed when we lost Kareem (another Bradway error). Any thoughts on Morley at RT? Jones? Kafka? Someone else?

Cavka is an absolute waste of pre-season roster space. Please, I implore you to never bring his name up again...

LOL! He must be--I didn't even know how to spell his name. I like your direct (non-sugar coat) approach.

Like I said before we drafted Brick.... if we draft him, Jones rides pine. His only position is LT. At this point, it would not be such a bad idea to try and rape some team that needs a LT, and trade Jones.

Does anyone know who Ed Blanton is besides a really big guy? If you're as big as he was, and you started at a big program like UCLA, and you don't get drafted, that says something.

Anthony Clement should start at RT. He's massive and not that good, too, but at least he has experience and has the size.

  7. Morley has very slow feet and shaky technique.

Jones is really our best option at RT for the time being. There are times(at least in camp) he looks very good..and there are other times(like in the preseason game) when he took poor angles and got beat.

Unfortunately as of right now, he's the best we can put at RT.

Morley played tackle in university but in the NFL he's always been a guard. I assume its because he doesn't have the quickest feet. Considering that he might not even make the roster as a backup guard, I doubt we want him at tackle.

I was saying that for awhile back before the draft and this is why I was strongly against drafting d'brick. Jones can't play RT, we all know that, we really have no RT, a trade would make the most sense.

But the thing is who would we trade for and who would we give? an imrpovement at RT (better than Jones) would likely have been more available early in free agenct than now. Unless we call up Lincoln Kennedy who tried out for the Cowboys last week and apparently showed up at 375 lbs.

Don't be so short sighted. You're saying we should pass on a potential pro bowler at the position for a guy who would 'hold the fort' for a season.

I haven't watched the game (yet) but I've heard enough about Dbrick to feel that he will make a positive addition to our team in the present and future. If Jones turns into a swing tackle thats fine, but obviously the CS sees enough potential in jones to move him back to RT. Considering that Brick has played more years at tackle the Jones (TE at the beginning of college) Jones still may have some learning to do, or he just may never transition to being the tackle bradway thought he would be when drafting him. Either way, Brick is still the best move we made this off-season, and you build a strong team by drafing the Best Player Available and just not for filling a need.

Jones can't play LT either, so what's the difference?

AGREED! It is time for us to get a BIG RT and stop exposing our QBs to AJ!

Chad will won't survive the season? So you're taking both sides of the argument here?

Chad will won't survive eh, so do you mean Chad will survive the season, or Chad won't survive the season?
