What a friggin disgrace! I seriously think there were MORE Steeler fans in the stadium then Jets. It really pissed me off, I fealt like I was in Pitts, Steeler fans were much louder and I am just really upset that so many Jet fans sold there tickets to them. It was crazy!
I agree 100%. I hated sitting there with the Steelers fans everywhere. When we had the ball the steelers fans were so loud. All of the Jets fans who didn't go out there and sold their tickets to steelers fans are a disgrace.
Iwas there til the end.... and so was Jet-O!! Stuck it out in the cold with nothin but Steeler fans there. Our fans are a disgrace. There are a few opponents you go and watch and the Steelers are one of them. For JETS fans to stay home today is pathetic.
I thoroughly agree in regards to the attendance of season tix holders today. It was literally embarassing to look around through the stadium and see all the Steeler fans. I really do not understand the mentality of our fan base when it comes to attending games.
Well to be fair, Pittsburgh ALWAYS has tons of fans at every game. But there were way too many today. 1-8 had something to do with that, but I'm sure winning made it alot sweeter seeing all of the Steeler fans crying.
Simms said he thought the Jets were coming onto the field but then realized it was the Pitt fans cheering for the Sqeelers. A lot of Sqeelers lost a lot of money today. And sat through a chilly windy evening just to watch their beloved piss-boys LOOSE to the Jets in OT. Gets no better.
Thats exactly how it felt. When the Jets had the ball it was loud. When the Steelers had the ball it was quiet.
wow, I couldnt believe how quiet the stadium was when we got that first TD, it was messed up, but it got better over time... not by much though, remember San Diego a few years ago and that winning field goal--- that was some noise...
I make it a rule not to comment on the crowd's behavior/attendance if I am not at the game, but there is a point I'd like to bring up that I mentioned in the game thread... These 'disloyal' Jet fans who sell their tickets to opposing fans, probably, don't know that they're selling them to fans of an opposing team... I've bought tickets on Stub Hub many, many times. There is nothing on there that says 'Which team will you be rooting for?'... People are just trying to sell their tickets, which, while not admirable, is understandable at 1-8, going into a game nobody thought we had a shot in. I've been in the situation many, many times where I've had to 'eat' tickets (and hundreds of dollars) because someone decided not to go.... I'd almost rather have a Steelers fan in the seat, than nobody at all....
I'd say it was 70/30 Steeler fans, and that may be generous in respect to the amount of Jets fans there. For some reason though the Steeler fans were really loud when they were on offense and didn't make that much noise when they were on defense. It was nice to see all those idiots crying into their terrible towels on the way out though.
The amount of Steelers fans was really sickening. I was surrounded by them. The ending was nice, though.
