Who thinks that this guy could resurrect his career with the green and white? I live in Upstate NY and constantly hear Bills crap?.They are a pretty uneducated fan base with no real strategy.
With that being said, they absolutely HATE Mike Williams up hear, partial because he was deemed a cant miss (D?brick) and was touted as the next GREAT Franchise Tackle.

After he could not stop speed rushers on the Left side, buffalo did the next best thing, moved him to the Right side with mixed results. He does have the BEEF to be a road grater (ala Dewayne White) but lacked the consistent opportunity to do so because they also tried to move him to guard.

I know this is a DEEP draft for O-line and I would probably rather have a Marcus McNeil anchor the Right Side, but could he resurrect his career? He might come cheaper than expected as well because the Bills just gave up on him. If the price is right I say lets take him?keep Adrian Jones, Draft Jean-Giles, Kevin, Moore, and Williams. AGAIN only if the price is right, but what are your thoughts on this guy, he does have talent we just need to use his strengths, wich is letting him wear down a DE by leaning on him all day long.

I really wouldnt mind, I dont think he was THAT colossal a bust, he might be a player that just needs a change of scenary to flourish. Sign him cheap and see what he can do

I'd rather have a rookie from the 4th round of this draft than Mike Williams.

Why, this guy is a round one talent...why would you rather have a 4th round talent tan a round 1 talent that just needs some retooling and consistency?

He's a bum who got cut after his rookie contract. He was billed as a franchise LT and he had pathetic footwork and limited awareness from the start, not to mention he is slow. Maybe he'd have been better with better coaching, but it's a little late in the game to be teaching him how to plant his feet. Now he's been moved around the line, and his growth as a player is stunted. He'd be a bigger project than a rookie, and the payout would be less.

    Full Name: Michael D. Williams
    Born: January 11, 1980
    Dallas, TX
    Height: 6-6
    Weight: 360 lbs. Age: 26
    Pos: OT
    Experience: 4 years
    College: Texas
    Drafted: Year:2002 Round:1 Pick:4, Bills

If he can get his fat A$$ down to like 330 I think he could be a pretty effectieve RT. He is also only 26...I would be all over this guy if we could sign him for a mill or 2 a year..he still has big upside and if you would take a 4th rounder over him...depending on the talent and the level of play, I would question you as to why? Im not trying to be a smart ass but really? why

Mike Williams is a big-time bust. The only thing he has going for him is 350+ pounds. He's about as quick as a turd sliding across sandpaper, and couldn't fend off defenders if his life depended on it. I doubt Mike T. would even consider it.

Funny thing is McKinnie isnt that much further from being a bust himself.but atleast he keeps his wieght under control. remember coming out how you heard mike williams was way more athletic than mckinnie. 360 is rediculous your like 40 pounds away from having problems walkng muchless running

Yeah, him and Leonard Davis are the exact same kind of player, and thats why theyre both 1st rd busts to me. They never tried to improve and were lazy. If anything, theyve gotten worse over the years. They just try to get by on their weight and strength.

Hey Rochester Jet, I also live in the Rochester area. Sometimes I just can't take these Bill Fans around here. I would certainly take a chance on Williams for the right price. It would be great to see him become successful as a Jet. Could you imagine the Bills fans...it would be very funny.

They are the worst fans in the world...I hate going to the Ralph, full of beer throwing, uneducated, guys who start fights and we get thrown out.

But I still think mike Williams could be a good fit. he is a stand up guy and is very well spoken, he just needs to get that weight under control, I think that him being cut will be just what he needs to jumpstart his career. I would take a chance...heck its better than taking D'Brick and moving Jones to the right side

If he can get into much better shape, and comes for nearly the minimum, then I would have some interest in him.

Aneone but Mike Williams. I'd rather have Cavka take it then give it to a known bust. Williams stinks, man. He just flat out SUCKS.

Throwing rookies into the fray would still be better than Williams. At least there's a possibility the rookies may turn out well, whereas you know Williams will be a failure.

I don't know what's your infatuation with him. Many posters here have already told you why he's a bust. If you think a mere change of scenery will fix all that, then you're crazy. That's like saying we should bring in Maurice Clarett and see if he'll suddenly be a solid player.
