So I'm watching Mike'd up tonight and towards the end of the show he's doing his hilights of the week and one of the shots was Sanchez throwing out the 1st pitch. It then Cuts to the Yankees comeback, Rangers/Devils elim...etc. When it comes back to him he says: "Doesn't it seem like Sanchez already won like 3 Superbowls he's been around so long, he's throwing out the ball everywhere, congratulations everywhere...Calm Down Jets, Calm down with the kid a little bit." Wow, Now I can easily think this guy is a straigh A-Hole because he is constantly bashing the JETS and it seems like total Jealousy. but Is it true maybe? Is Woody parading this guy all over town for an unknown reason *cough* psl's *cough* Maybe a little of both? I really don't know what to think on this one.
when was the last time the Jets ever had someone like Sanchez to parade around the town. Screw Fatcessa he is just a jealous bitch.
I vote for straight A-hole. "Throwing out the ball everywhere"? I didn't realize one game suddenly became everywhere (and why do I think that if it had been at Yankee Stadium he would have been fine with it?). "Congratulations everywhere"? What does that even mean? Lots of analysts are saying it was a good pick, and that's the Jets fault? The coaches say they're happy with him, while the OC says that Clemens is still ahead of him, and they need to calm down? Francesa is a complete joke, and this is just another example.
Fat Franny has always been a dick. It's about time we Jets fans have something positive to be excited about.
I always thought that the mad dog guy was the only thing keeping fatcessa from being unbearable, but he actually is less annoying when doing the show on his own. I actually like listening to it now, never though I would say that. And thank god he doesn't have a "humorous sidekick" like that idiot Carton on his show.
Have you created a thread in the last few months were you don't bitch about PSLs and you theory on how everything the Jets do is about selling them?
Id be curious to see what this jerk had to say when Eli got drafted, Im sure he was all over town. And he had the whole SD trade shenanigans as well. This is what happens with the big time draft picks, Stafford was on Letterman, its part of the whole thing. And yea, Francesa's condescending attitude toward the Jets is a bit obnoxious.
Bingo.... I'm sure he defended Eli and wanting no part of the Chargers. It's like playing for the Giants is an honor while playing for the Jets is a blemish on your resume.
Francessa is a bit of a douche but in this case i think he's somewhat right. I Think the Sanchez hype needs to chill for now... Untill pre-season is over and we see how he performs.
I can't stand Francessa. I will not watch or listen and I used to be an avid listener to the M and MD show for years in the 90's and early 2000's. I have not heard him in 4 or 5 years and I am am a better person for it. Russo is gone now, and I don't really care for him either, but Francessa is just over-the-top arrogant to the sickening point. His opinions on anything Jets related are meaningless.
How 'bout Mr. Favah? Ya'll forget when Mr. Favah was shown the key to the city by the mayor last year (prior to the season, that is). Same kind of pre-sales promotional activity. PSLs. Jersey sales counts. You know the drill. That's why the NYJs have a President of marketiing, for crying out loud.
Well Sanchez hasn't thrown a single pass in a regular season game he should shut it down and learn the play book inside-out too much exposure. Let's get him in the weight room to bulk up from those hits he will take this season.
I am sick of Sanchez already. Its total hype to sell PSL's . I smell all time Jet bust. Sorry, we were had. I did not like the pick. Clemens is the man
Francessa is a follower, not a leader. If Sanchez works out and the Jets take off he'll be saying things like "it was obvious this guy was the real deal, from the moment he hit town he had NY in his pocket..." The funny thing is that it was the mad dog that broke the most ground on their shows. He'd go sniffing off in the bushes and start howling and then Francessa would follow him in and start trying to put the leash on and get him back to the safety of the path.
He may be a bust, but I don't see you supporting your point with much outside of an alarmist statement.
