He was just released by Denver due to cap problems. I think he would be a great fit for the Jets. We won't have enough money to sign and Edge or Alexander, but a guy like this could probably be had at a reasonable price.

I would not mind this at all, he is solid. But I am happy with C-Mart and Houston for next year, we need any money we have for other areas.

We do not need another running back.

In 2006, you are going to have to live with Martin, Blaylock, Houston.

It's not a bad combo either.

RIght now, we have 54 players under contract. The top 51 have us 11.1M over any projected cap, not counting Abraham, according to John Clayton.

22 of our players are signed at the minimum. Yes, 40% of our roster.

This team is not going to be signing FAs.

I debated posting on this one. Maybe I shouldn't have but.....Mike Anderson? Really? Were we all clammering for his guy 2 weeks ago? No. Why? Because we just found out he was released. Over the next few days we are going to hear of a lot of guys being let go and will probably see a great many more threads like this. If these guys won't participate in our future why would we want them in our now? Next year is not one of those 'If we could only get this guy then we are a headin' for the SB' years. Face the facts. We are rebuilding not retooling. Next year will NOT be our year. The year after ....maybe.

If we are going to bring in a new RB, I'd prefer it to be a young one, we don't need another older player with limited potential like Anderson.

denver always seem to have a good running back and i think its because of the line. look at portis last year i dont think was was anything like he was in denver. i dont think mike anderson is anyone special and with the line we will have he will be no better than what we have. they need to address the more important positions..

I honestly don't see us going after any of these guys. Those guys being the ones who have been around a few years and done well but are now being released. We are on the cusp of something rare for this Org. An actual fresh start. Now, if EM wants this guy, fair enough. But he won't. He is looking past next year and towards WORLD WIDE DOMINATION!! BWAHH HAA HAA.

Yeah for sure. Him or Steven Davis. I think Davis would be cheaper. Wde certainly need to look at RBs though, I am sure they will show interest in them. I don't hink we'll pursue Edge or Alexander at all...

Yeah, go for it. We need this guy! Seriously, I think the Jet should pursue every free agent that's out there, and the ones that will soon be cut! Go for it!

Now you're talking. It is always the fancy guys coming out that we seem to latch our teeth on. We will do what's BEST for the team not what gets the fans talking.

I agree we don't need a FA running back.
