If this guy is available in the 6th I think you have to take a long look at drafting him as an Athlete. He can play a #4 WR role, great special teamer (he hits hard) , has solid size for a WR/S, might be able to run the ball a little, and can play qb in a pinch as well during trick plays.
did you see the way he hit the Minnesota defensive player on his run in that game, knocked the shit out of him. He was running through people all season. Do you think special teamers in the NFL specialized on special teams in college? Most probably were starters on offense/defense in college and hit well which translated in being good wherever they were put on the field that required hitting. For rookies it's very difficult to break onto the field at any other spot other than special teams (and that's not easy either). I watched Robinson play in every game he played in college, all home games in person. He will be a good hitter.
Nice post brother-- I'm a Penn Stater (graduated in 2003) and watched him over the last few years also. How about that Minnesota hit!!!! That was the hardest I have ever seen an offensive player knock a defender in my life-- not exaggerating. I figured he would come out as a safety-- great measurables for that position- and i assume he runs between a 4.5-4.6. He could probably play some offense though. I'd like him in a later round- hes worth taking a chance on, and can be an emergency QB if needed. Not that our QB's get hurt though.
Maybe roll the dice on him in the 7th. He wont amount to much as a QB, but this guy is a true athlete and competiter. He might be somewhat of a Antoin Randel El.
I think he'll be gone before the 6th. I can even see the 4th round for him, especially on a team that doesn't have a ton of holes (obviously not us).
class of 2000 PSU Alum... I'd love to see him get his shot. I don't think he did any favors by opting out of the combine though.
