Nothing like a four game sweep of the Cards to completely wash away the bad taste of most of June, huh.

Gomez styles on the foul ball, then puts it in the back of bleacher seats. Keith is still disgruntled.

This is a very quiet game thread.

Maroth making the Mets look pretty bad - 1-1 through six, but 101 pitches for Sosa versus 81 for Maroth.

Well, Joe Smith is doing his best to give this game away - a leadoff walk to the #8 batter, and a single by Maroth after he fails to sacrifice. 1st & 2nd, none out.

And now a double steal when Lo Duca doesn't throw it to third. This game appears to be spinning out of control.

Smith with two big outs. Albert coming up, presumably to be walked?

Willie brings in Feliciano to face Spezio. I would prefer to stick with Smith, only because there is no place for Felciano to put Spezio, and it's a little tougher to throw strikes when you first come in.

Good idea Willie, bring in the reliever with control problems with the bases loaded and 2 outs

Feliciano comes back from 2-0 to get the out! Clutch pitching performance.

That called strike on 2-0 that was probably a ball saved Feliciano's bacon. Thank you , Angel Hernandez.

I'd almost feel bad for the Cards, if they didn't have their undeserved WS title from last year.

Feliciano through the 8th. Time to get a run or 3, Mets.
