I'm not sure why they even bothered playing this game with Glavine starting. An old goat with terrible stuff struggling in Coors, no one could've predicted this.
What an embarassment - walk the 8th hitter to face the pitcher and let him get a 2 RBI single, allowing the runner on first to go to 3rd as well.
I was at the series 2 years ago in Coors when we lost 2 of 3 although the 1st game being delayed an hour and 1/2 due to rain probably killed any chance Glavine had at winning that game. The Rockies are not that bad of a team. In fact if not Fuentes imploding they'd be in pretty good shape and playing very good ball (with the exception of yesterday).
I was at the game. Pretty much nothing to cheer about. I did get to witness about 800 feet of doubles between Wright and Green. The double by Hirsch was atrocious. It didn't even seem like Delgado bent over to try and make the play. At least Coors Field is a nice place to watch the game. The other cool thing was that there were a large amount of Mets fans there and we even got the "Let Go Mets" chant going a couple of times. Here's to better things tonight...
Game? How about last inning? This guy 's got zippo. Gomez bunting with a runner on first and the pitcher due up. How about hitting a homer instead?....or trying to.
It was a bad inning but lets be honest none of the hits were particularly hard and that HR was a joke.
