Not my dopey headline. LINK Two points on this. First, I wish they had a less touchy-feely name for these drills. Second, sometimes Laveranues can really be a whiney bitch. Of all the players on the roster, he seems to be the only one off-message. This isn't the first time he's yapped disagreeably to the beat-writing eedyots.
He is really a whiney little bitch.....If he wasn't catching the ball I'd hate him even more....Just shut the F up and play football- go along with the program and realize just how good you have it...
From what ex-players say, these sorts of things really don't affect the team at all - they just ignore it (even at the level of a Randy Moss or T.O.). Having said that, I think we can put to rest the notion that Coles gets misquoted, or says something once and then it's repeated, etc. He is clearly very willing to bitch to reporters when he feels like it. This is of course absolutely forbidden by Belichick, so I wonder how Mangini will handle it during the offseason.
I liked Coles alot better when he refused to speak to media. Now every time he opens his mouth he's complaining about something. Shut-up and play ball!
I don't mind a player who is carrying his weight having an opinion. Coles is also the guy who spoke up in the Lions game and told them to go deep, which resulted in a TD. With a young staff it's not always a bad thing for a veteran player to speak up. He's not being devisive or selfish, his intentions seem to be what's best for the team.
If it wasnt for the outing of his personal life before the NFL ( his childhood molestation) i would say i really dont like this guy, i feel bad for him in sense but man this guy needs to shut up and play, he seems like a prima donna...and we dont need that....he needs shut up and play
What he is saying makes sense though guys. All he means is that you can't practice and force on-the-field in-game chemistry that takes place with a qb and wr. It just happens by itself. New England just finally started to click on offense in their passing game. Do you think that happened because they weren't practicing hard enough the first few weeks? No. It just took some time for them and the chemistry developed on the field by itself.
I like the way the writer feels the need to include the words block and hole as if the reader would have no concept of what Coles was saying otherwise.
I hate when writers do that. I end up spending 20 minutes trying to figure out exactly what the guy said.
