After 2 more drops today, i have a feeling he will be cut by Monday. Is there really any point in keeping him anymore?

Yea, the drops were pretty bad, that one pass hit him right in the chest.

Got to grease Macs jock again.
Because HE cost us the game right?
LC is still out and you want to cut another WR , cut Smith as well please. Cut Baker for coming down in the endzone too.

McCairens sucks, on that one drop he was standing near the sideline for like half an hour, what happened to finding an opening?

Where did i say he cost us the game? He just flat out sucks and he cant catch. He has been a bust for the last 3+ years. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool.

McCairens, the Jets & Albert Einstein

I have yet to see a receiver in the NFL come up short as frequiently as this guy. McCairens is a head case, a classic choke artist. It is obvious to everyone who has watched him throughout the years. The consistency of his drops in big situations, & his lack of big catches in those same circumstances is truly mind boggling. Its amazing that he remains in the NFL.The staff must be waiting for him to improve, he cant & he wont - period.
Enough on him as he is truly a waste of time. the real problem in this organization is the head coach. This situation is not aided by the fact that his offensive coordinator is complete bozo. He is only in the league because of nepotism. Taken on his job performance alone, he would be washing dishes or collecting garbage. He calls plays that are incredibly predictable & unsophisticated. I have seen high school football games with five times the sets & plays that this team shows each Sunday. Shottenheimer runs a Pop Warner level offense in the pro's. I felt bad for Clemens today, each series was two yard runs & a five yard pass on third & 6. Hackett was a genious compared to this guy, no joking.
The Jets do not have a true impact back right now, since this is the case they should try a 2 back set with plenty of play action, counters & traps. At least this would offer some hope of scoring. Right now there is none. Einstein once said that insanity is doing the same thing over & over the same way & expecting a different results, I think he had the Jets offense in mind when he made this statement. Actually, he died in 1955 & the AFL formed in 1959, so I could be wrong.
This letter was brought to you by a frustrated Jets fan with 35 years of pain behind him & plenty more to come in the future, as it looked today.

I'm not sure why you're so hostile to someone pointing out the obvious fact that McCareins is truly horrible. If the team can't cut him because they don't have a replacement, that's hardly a support for him, it's just a comment on how poorly the team is put together. He seems to be the classic training camp warrior who stinks when it actually matters.

Jets gave up a 2nd rounder for McCarriens.

Pats traded a 4th rounder for Randy Moss.

    Just sayin......

Yeah, did anybody see that "Happy Thanksgiving" message on CBS with J.C., his wife and kid? The kid's head is bobbing around like he's been dropped a few times.

McCareins has hurt us more than he's helped us this season. Today didn't really matter, but I think about those drops against Washington and Baltimore that could have won games. Trouble is, I don't see who comes in to replace him at this point in the season. Addition by subtraction? Maybe, but I don't think it matters to our season or to the team's morale to dump him mid-season. Do I want him back next season? No.

    He's inconsistent, that's all.

On Sunday against the Steelers, he came up with key catches late in the game on the drive that lead to us either tying the game, or the drive leading up the game winning FG (I can't remember exactly). Either case, he had key catches.

The reason he is getting more looks is because if I'm not mistaken, before Clemens became the starter, he would practice with J-Mac because he himself wasn't a starter in the WR slot. They had a connection I'm assuming.

He certainly wasn't a bust in '04 when he led the team in receptions and had a solid '05 but he certainly hasn't done much since then. I wouldn't cry if we let him go after the season.

Does anyone know what's up with Stuckey? I dont think I've seen him catch one pass for us. Is this kid any good? He's listed at 6'0, maybe he can give us something?

We desperately need a big, fast reciever.

I think we should have signed Mix from the Giants. 6'5.

He simply does not come up with anything , he looks terrified when the ball comes his way and its almost a shock when he catches the ball. His poisition on our depth chart shows how bad our WR corps is!!

Stuckey is shorter than 6"0. He's probably 5"10-5"11, he's short. He's a little like Santana Moss, so not big.

Personally, I think Brad Smith BLOWS and Jmac should be getting those endzone passes Smith has no clue on.......

I'll take Jmac over Smith myself.... I met Brad Smith, and his listed height and weight are way off.. I'm 6' 180 and he wasn't much bigger than me, if at all, the person I was with could not believe that he was in the NFL.
