I know optimism is already high around these parts (for Favrious reasons) but I'm a nerd and decided to run some numbers on our schedule. Here's what I found: 2007: We played teams with a combined record of 110-98 and 6 of them made the playoffs. 2008: We play teams with a combined record of 93-115 and 4 of them made the playoffs in 2007. I know a lot changes in a year in the NFL, but our strength of schedule is looking a lot like Chad's arm. :jets:
Yes & if you deduct the Pats 16-0 schedule then it becomes even weaker. In fact due to the Pats 16-0 record last season they play maybe the easiest schedule of any team in the league (down in the hi 300)
The pats SOS is weak because the rest of the AFC East had shit records last season and the AFC East plays the NFC West this year. It's not because they had a 16-0 record.
Strength of schedule should be meaningless to Jets fans considering how every season they lose at least once to some total dog of a team they have no business losing to.
Yep but in math there 16-0 is factored twice into our SOS but not theirs since they do not play themselfs
