It was a little funny the first time, now he's just being a dick. His contract that pays him millions of dollars requires him to be available to the press after the game, he may not like it but he gets $6.5 million to play football and answer the press for a very short while after the game. I hope they hit him up for $200K this time.
I agree, he's being immature and a huge dick. But, I had never seen the video of the first one, so this cracked me up.
Bullshit Most of the times media is just fishing for their next story, for easy headline -- see Mehta, Cimini, etc, etc. Lynch is getting his MMs for playing football on the level that only less than 0.01% of population is capable of, for being hit in such a way that outside the field the hitter would be getting a jail sentence. This media pressers is a league-mandated BS under pretence of doing it for the fans. I hope more players would do what Lynch did. Good for him. The press can take their mikes and shove them up their asses.
Bullshit? The contracts all state the player must abide by the CBA, if he doesn't like it he can continue what he is doing and take his $100K fines or retire. Whether or not you feel it is right, it is what he agreed to and is part of what he gets paid for. The league makes billions largely because of the marketing behind it and this is why they mandate the pressers. Those billions they make is why he gets paid those millions. And of course the media is asking questions for another story, it's their job. I am guessing you would rather have no newspaper articles, no pregame or post game shows and no color or play by play guys. Just have one mike above the field to hear the sound of the pads and show the score now and then, the newspaper would consist of scores and standings. I think there are many shit reporters out there but I just choose not to read them and only read the ones I think are good. A bunch of shit reporters is not a good reason to cut out post game pressers.
If your position is that he should do what he agreed to per CBA, then you should be very happy with this presser! He fulfilled CBA agreement -- appeared in front of the press and answered their questions. You (and they) don't like the answers -- tough shit, buddy. This is a perfect highlight of the complete BS these requirements are. There are plenty of players (and coaches) who'd love nothing more than to run their mouths in front of the mike. But no!!! The all-mighty media wants Lynch to talk. And if he dares not to like it... Why of course they'll run to Roger Allmighty and bitch about Mr. Lynch not talking to them. Ok! They got what they wanted: Mr. lynch appeared in front of them and spend proscribed amount of time. What now, they gonna run to Goodell bitching that the answers were not to their satisfaction? Fuck hem, good for Lynch. P.S. Keep your guesses to yourself. You know little to nothing about me. That remark of yours looked suspiciously close to a pathetic attempt to fish for my views and preferences, likely to find something to generalize and attack outside the topic. You're an intelligent poster, don't descent to this level. The issue at hand is simple: league mandated appearances, Lynch hates them, but fulfilled CBA obligations while making his point. You don't like it; I do.
Lynch is amateur at this. Bill Belichick is the absolute master at trolling the media dicks. He does it fucking perfectly.
