This Mets team is a turn-off. They are pussies.

They are also maybe the most lackluster 1st place team I have ever seen- in any sport.

Lawrence certainly sucks. This game could get out of hand quickly unless he takes care of business against the 8-9 hitters.

I will happily admit that Lawrence ultimately pitched a helluva lot better than I expected he would.

BTW, quite the exciting game thread tonight.

just got back from the equally exciting jets preseason game. that probably had something to do with it.

Probably right. I've been bouncing back and forth between them on TV. It looked like a lot of fans were disguised as empty seats at the Meadowlands.

Big failure for Gotay and Reyes in the bottom of the 8th. Hope we see an unexciting Wagner save in the 9th.

You live a block away from Giants Stadium or something? And who leaves a preseason game early for crying out loud?

You knew this was going to happen when the Mets didn't score in the 8th. I'll tell you, if this game is lost it's far more devastating than losing 2 out of 3 to the Braves.

Not a block away but maybe 5 minutes.

That ball was smoked but it certainly looked like Beltran could've caught it if he read it correctly.

I would have to say the brewers hold that honor...

I would say the Brewers are a bit more exciting especially when you take into account they have been bad for so long. I'm sure they have hit more home runs than the Mets, so that helps them be less boring.

    Other teams to consider-
    1985 Browns
    1988 Seahawks
    1999 Seahawks
    2006 Seahawks
2006 St. Louis Cardinals (taking into account RS only)

(No, I don't have anything against the Seahawks).

Already off to a good start if we went to continue the trend of leaving runners on.

Cabrera helps the Mets out by not making a good slide.
