Now that Manning has choked in the Super Bowl, where does he go down in history? Instead of the best ever, I don't think he's even the conversation for the number one spot. He's merely in the top ten, somewhere near (snicker) Brett Favre's neighborhood. Skill's great, but you can't have a top team year after year and fuck it up.
To be fair to Peyton (who I hate), he doesnt have much of a team. Without Peyton the Colts are a 5-11/6-12 team at best
I know it's gonna be Brady...but honestly, it has to be easy to complete passes/win games, when you know what defense is coming at you.
Yep the guy had to throw almost 50 passes. Just goes to show you how he completely has to carry an absolute garbage team on his back
Turning point was Garcon dropping his second pass of the game. It seems like the only game he didn't drop a pass or 2 was the AFC championship game! Wayne should have caught the 4th down pass for the TD as well. Probably wouldn't have changed the results, but certainly did not hurt. Manning is going to continue to compete for another ring for several more years to come. Hopefully we can figure out how to beat him by next season.
The same team that has one of the best receivers, best tight ends, and best offensive lines in the league? The same team that knocked us out of the playoffs? Get the hell out of here with that bullshit. The Colts are the best team in the AFC, and it's not just because of Peyton Manning. He's the best quarterback in the game, but he's got a nice supporting cast around him.
Not really... they are more like the Broncos. Remember their D is pretty solid... today Brees was in godly form but still they couldn't run on them and the Saints WR made some terrific catches.
Are you serious? By the time his career is over, Peyton Manning is going to own almost every passing record.
The colts were moving the ball with ease prior to that drop, they seemed to lose their rhythm until, I felt that was the start of the Colts demise. The on-sides kick was a tough but great call that allowed the saints to continue the momentum and keep the Colts from regaining it to start that half.
Which is why I said "RIGHT NOW" as in - If his career ended today, AORN, as it stands...etc... Ask me the same question if he plays another 10 years and I may have a different answer but RIGHT NOW, That's his legacy and I'm stickin to it!
Heres the bottom line. Manning threw an interception in the biggest drive of his life. If your the greatest of all time, YOU DO NOT THROW A PICK. Therefore Manning is not the greatest ever, this will hurt his credibility tons, and rightfully so.
