Magnanimous: definition from the English Oxford Dictionary-
Generous and noble, great soul, a leader of men! No mention of Belichickenimouse here.

I write this because there is probably a lot of Jets fans who might feel slighted by the COTY decision. You can bet our leader is (Magnanimous) in defeat and will be glad that Payton place and N.O. got the call after the year they had last year. Who cares? We know we have the real coach of the year and will steel his resolve for the battle for tomorrow.

the best definition of magnanimous is "forebearing". it is to deal mercifully and gracefully with an opponent, generally, a defeated opponent.

"A magnanimous winner" is one that does not gloat, and encourages his defaeted opponent; a good sport.

It is applicable in battle as well, as in a victor that deals mercifully with the defeated enemy.

I don't feel comfrtable with that title for Mangini.
