Isn't this the fourth game this season where the "D" gave up a long end of game drive. That lost us the game. (7-7 vs. 11-3) Don't get me wrong, I luv the way the "D" plays. Attacking has always been my favorite style. Don't know if they are worn down, or the play calling changes, or players try to be the hero or what the "F". Going crazy and talking trash at how good the "D" is making it happen. Given it to people watching the game with me. Brag about the#1 "D" Then at end they get last laugh because the "D" didn't do their job when it's time to show they're the best. Again WHAT THE "F"?
stop fucking dropping interceptions Leonhard dropped a potentional pick-6. Revis we would be nowhere without this guy but that last drive he almost had an interception so he gets a free pass
What do you guys expect? We have a very good defense but even the very best defense can only take so much. They are consistently being put into bad situations, stopping opposing offenses, etc.. Yet, our offense can't manage to do anything, and they put our defense in horrible situations. Our defense is constantly out there on the field the majority of the game, and it takes a toll on the defense as a whole. Our defense is undoubtfully gassed the fuck out in these situations, and I refuse to put the blame on our defense. They have been made to look bad because our offense and special teams are constantly letting them down throughout the game. If we could keep our defense off the field a little less then what we do, we would be dominating opposing teams on a consistent basis. This just hasn't been the case.
would much rather have a clutch defense then a very good defense. tired of seeing this defense control the whole game only to blow it in the end. id much rather see them give up 35 points but at least stop them when it counts and win the freakin ball game.
I think you have to consider the fact that the offense created about 10, 3 and outs. If a defense is on the field that much chances are an NFL offense is going to get say 10 points......... except the Jets of course. Then again if special teams doesnt shit the bed the Jets have 16 points and win easily.
our defense is on the field all fucking day. when the opponent scores 10 points. you should win. thats just my rule of thumb. we left too many points on the field. if we had scored more, and still allowed the last TD. the reaction would be, too little too late we win. everyone keeps giving the offense a pass cause of sanchez. then they argue, "yadda yadda a truly great defense makes the stop when it counts". we 3 and outed nearly all damn day. point in case the offense has to show up. 7 points should NEVER be enough to win a game I dont give a fuck how good the defense is supposed to be.
That's basically the way I felt about it. When the offense is constantly giving the ball back to the other team with punts and turnovers, the other team will end up scoring some points on even the best NFL defense. Do I think this Jets defense is great? No, not yet. But they are statistically number 1 passing and overall defense, and it's the first season in the scheme, and the players are just beginning to truly get comfortable with this philosophy, and have bought in to Ryan's defensive mindset. Once Ryan has a chance to draft and sign some talent that fits his defensive vision, I think this defense is going to be deadly.
We're a very good defense. Until we can totally take control of a game and shut opponents down completly in a game where we are clearly the dominent team, then that's all we'll be.
