so, we send our 3rd and 5th to the Browns for Edwards, but i think that we still owe the Eagles a 2010 pick for Lito, depending on his play. Anyone knows if that pick could become a 3rd or 5th, and what would happen, if those trades conflict?

I read in the NY Daily News today that with his missing 2 games his pick already went down.
Not sure where we're at at this point.

Well it's a 2-4. I'd imagine like the Saints Vilma/Shockey deal last year that we'd have to give up the next better pick if we don't have it anymore. That said, hopefully this injury BS will put him into the 4th round range as that was his knock to begin with...and why the trade was so heavily weighted by playing time.

We may skate on Lito's 2nd pick altogether:

i mentioned that earlier. i totally forgot he missed an extra half, that puts him to 2.5/16 games missed or 15.625% of the game time missed to injury already. now he obviously will not play 100% of the snaps the rest of the season, the only guys i imagine doing that are Revis, Rhodes and Harris. Maybe Scott as well.

so he is under the 85% play marker already so we are in very good shape imo. Chances are this leg injury to sheppard is going to be a blessing in disguise...

Agree on that respect. I would love a healthy Sheppard playing for us right now, but this is saving us in the draft pick department and we have still been very good one D.

If Braylon has a specific number of catches, per Schefter, it becomes a second. I wouldn't mind that tradeoff.

Most likely, we spent our 3rd, 4th and 5th rounder on a starting receiver and a starting corner. Sounds good to me.

Yeah, a 3rd, 4th, and 5th for Edwards and Lito is pretty awesome.

We can go DL in the first and RT/LG in the 2nd. With no skill position needs, the Jets can start repleneshing the foundation of our team, the lines.

I wanted a DE last year, but glad we didn't. A first round OL would be better now though since this D is already great (n thats without Pace). A second round DE would be ideal.

But please, do not trade up next year. We can't afford it now. We only have a 1st and a 2nd (6th n 7th have no value when u r trading up in the first two rounds). I would love us to trade out of the first round in fact and gain another 2nd or third in the process.
