    Alright guys,
I havent posted one of these in a long time so i'm dropping a new thread. First and foremost, we should be grateful of the Gholston draft pick. I dont understand why everybody bought into the McFadden hype. Bottom line is, McFadden can't stop Tom Brady! We need guys who can get after the QB, and Vernon fits the profile. With Harris calling the signals all year, our LB's can be one of our biggest strenghts on the team. Let's get it done this year gents. It all starts with spanking them stinkin phish!!!!!

  2. People bought into the mcfadden hype b/c we needed an elite offensive talent just as much as we needed an elite pass rusher...and very few experts would argue that DMAC was not the higher rated prospect to Gholston. The draft is about taking the best player availble.

W/ that said, I do like Gholston, and i like the flexibility we're gonna have available at the LB position schematically.

Darren McFadden will not be an elite offensive talent, but that's a debate for another day.

The linebackers are going to revolve around how well Kris Jenkins plays. If he can consistently take on 2 blockers and allow Harris and Barton to not get blocked by guards, then we'll be able to stop the run up the middle. With Thomas and Pace on the outside, we should be able to prevent the outside running game, and with Gholston disrupting the passing game, this LB corps is going to be our strength if we're going to make the playoffs.
