If The Jets Are For Real And Say They Are To Go 11-5, Who Will We Lose To?

Who on this schedule when you fill it out do you give automatic L's to? There are some L's I could see from surprise teams, but few automatic losses -- that is if all that we have seen has predictive value on the future.

    W JETS @ Texans
    W Pats @ JETS
    ? Titans @ JETS
    ? JETS @ Saints
    ? JETS @ Fins
    ? Bills @ JETS
    ? JETS @ Raiders
    ? Fins @ JETS
    Bye
    ? Jaguars @ JETS
    ? JETS @ Pats
    ? Panthers @ JETS
    ? JETS @ Bills - TORONTO
    ? JETS @ Bucs
    ? Falcons @ JETS
    ? JETS @ Colts
    ? Bengals @ JETS

Just as excercise, I've broken the teams we play (and where if it matters) down to 4 categories:

Crap Teams, Utter Crap Teams, Good Teams, and Teams That Make You Go Hmmm

Crap Teams: These Teams are Teams we should beat 9/10 times
    Miami
    Buffalo
    Cincinatti
    Miami (In Division)
Buffalo (Will We sweep all our division games?)

Utter Crap Teams: These Teams Winning Would be an utter Shock
    Jacksonville
    Carolina
    Tampa Bay

Good Teams: These Teams would not be Surprise Winners Vs JETS
    Titans
    Saints
    New England (In NE)
    Atlanta

Teams That Make You Go Hmmm: Could be Utter Crap Teams that pose some twilight zone risk. Possible Losses, Probable Wins.
    Raiders (In Oakland)
    Indianapolis (In Indy)

    --

I couldn't see us losing to all of the good teams, perhaps two or three. I think it is possible but highly unlikely that we lose to the Colts or the Raiders, and virtually impossible to lose to the utter crap teams. That leaves the Bengals and 5 division games.

If we win vs the Titans, we'd have to go only 8-5 the remainder to go merely 11-5...

Thats what I was thinking. Since when has Indy become and 'utter crap' team playing in Indy? Thats a game we may very well end up losing. Oakland is an utter crap team that we should not lose. We don't have Mangini that we'll choke against a team run by a retarted owner... no way we lose against Jokeland. We will actually whip their vaginas...

This thread made me realize that for all the talk about how tough our schedule is this year, our schedule is actually really easy based on how teams have performed this year.

There seems to be only 5 tough games remaining: Titans, Saints, Pats, Falcons, Colts.

Other than that, the Fins look pretty bad this year (though we could easily split with them), and there's the Raiders, Bucs, Bengals who should be easy wins.

Finally, the Panthers, Jags, and Bills could be tough games, but based on performance this season, the Jets look better than all of them.

after seeing this team none of those teams has me totally worried. obviously we aren't gonna go 16-0 but i think we can beat every team on the schedule.

I love the spirit , but you guys are crazy with some of these predictions. Here's some food for thought. We need to beat the titans this week and then the saints. If we can win both of these games , then Ill go with we can win every game we play. (not meaning 16-0). Lets concentrate on the Titans. I did participate in the Season predictions thread previous to this one and I think I had us going 13-3.

We're winning every goddamn game this season. That should be the team's and the fan base mentality. Put me down for all W's.

have to admit the schedule at this point looks a bit easier on paper with not so good starts for the panthers, jags, titans, and fins.....

it would be more than prudent to expect a split with pats and fish and hopefully a sweep of the bills...that would give us a 4-2 division record which would be very competitive going forward. with a break or two maybe even 5-1.

IMO you can pencil in a L for the titans, raiders, colts....everything else is up for grabs.

so 10-6/11-5 are realistic after this 2-0 start but i thought we would be 5-11 so what do i know.

The Colts Have been known to bench starters toward the end of the year if they are a lock for the playoffs. This could very well be a gravy game if we are still scratching for our spot. i know its not the last week of the season, but the strength of Indy's division isn't there like last year.
