Leon starting HB?

    Do you think Leon will be our starting HB for the first game. Thomas Jones just does not seem like the best fit. Washington was MVP last year and also won the offseason workout award putting on more muscle. Now the two of them ar about the same weight. I don't really see any reason why Leon can't start.

    I think he could handle the load in all honesty but I highly doubt he starts over, Jones.

    Should Washington start? That's an interesting question.

    Will he start? Absolutely not.

    Will he get more carries than last year? I damn well hope so...

    It seemed like in that game that Jones was used more like a 3rd down back.

    Yeah Jones will start. Hopefully he finds some success behind this o-line during the regular season.

    If you are basing things on last night....Leon will see more work this year. And that is a good thing. Keeps both backs fresh.

    I think Leon will become the starter sometime this season. Jones has no moves and 2nd gear. Leon is one of our best players

    This was what I was hoping for last year and again comming into this year. We have two good backs who run in very different styles. The old thunder and lightning thing.

    Jones is 30 and will play better/last longer if he gets less carries this season. They really need to use Leon more.

    No, just as Maurice Jones-Drew will never be a starter....or Reggie Bush for that matter.....

    I know he is fast and shifty and worked on his strength in the offseason but he'll still get taken down by a DE's arm.....so no.....he can't start.

    I do think we need a package with both backs though.
