I hate to say this as a big FSU fan but Leinart is just another Chris Weinke.

    -Powerful arm.
    -Heisman canidates all round him.
    -Heisman winner.
    -Great O-Line Blanket.
    -Same build.

    -BUST

Since most of you are ******* ******** and only play madden. LEINARTS SYSTEM MAKES HIM GOOD. Look who bailed USC out of almost every game last year.... Jarrett or Bush.

Leinart doesn't have a powerful arm.

:rofl2: Weinke wasnt a bust everyone knew he would be a backup at the next level. Matt is maybe the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning

Well he is also about 4 years younger than Weinke was coming out of college. Also he could be the next Carson palmer, he had grat talent around him yet he succeeded. If there is a system that makes someone good it is Vince Young, he had a better o-line and a lot of talent, he lived off that. Lienart has performed whenever his team needed him in the clutch. He has won games on last minute drives and he has completed the tough passes that he needed to complete.

So they are both Heisman winners, why dont we compare him to Reggie Bush then? You cant say he is a bust because he has traits similar to Weinke, his traits are similar to many succesful quarterbacks in the NFL and I think Lienart will be a very good quarterback in the NFL.

hah! i've been waiting for this comparison. god knows we've heard all the other ridiculous ones.

firstly, the only "knock" on Leinart has been his arm strength; not that it's weak, but for supposedly the best QB in the past 2 drafts, you'd think that QB would have a stronger arm than Leinart possesses.

secondly, Leinart has much more potential than Weinke had coming out. Sure, he can result the same, but i highly doubt it.

    cheers

Not true at all. Eli was a better prospect than Leinert. So was Carson Palmer, Roethlisberger and Phiip Rivers.

Wasn't Weinke a Day Two pick? How can he be a bust when no one expected him to be anything more than a semi-competant backup?

I will give you Eli and Palmer, but not Roethlisberger or Rivers. Leinart has had maybe the greatest college career by any QB

Leinart is an elite prospect plain and simple. His arm strength may not be great but it is certainly serviceable, and hes the smartest, most accurate, and most experienced QB in this draft. While nobody can tell if he's the next Manning or Leaf, based on his college credentials he is the best QB available in this draft hands down.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. You remark above simply serves to further categorize just how unqualified and lacking objectivity yours happen to be.

Look Nostradamus, you nor I know if he is going to be a bust so please stop with all your unintelligent comparisons to players who turned out to be busts. Next start a thread on how cutler is like kyle Boller, I havent seen one of those in a few days.
