Week 16 of last season. They were just beginning this run of dominance (take out the playoff game and the Titans have won 12 consecutive regular season games) and we were some 3-11 team playing out the stretch.

The one thing that does stick out in my mind was that Jeff Fisher was quoted as saying before the game that after studying the film, we were "The best 3-11 team he's ever seen". Pretty prophetic with how fast we've turned it around.

We moved the ball through the air well against them. I was surprised to see Pennington was 26-32 for 264 and 1 td (2 int though).

Jones was 21-58. We tried to run him between the tackles too much and got stuffed. Next week we need to see these guys get around the corners and into open field. Expect more pitches to Leon and Brad Smith gadgetry...like the Wildcat type play that netted 17 vs. NE on our first drive. And when Jones does go into the teeth of the Titans defense, it's only with Tony Richardson leading the way

Unfortunately, no Vince Young at QB, and their ground game is much improved (so is our run defense) Harris is the key here, he has to be ready to play. And with 10 days off between NE and Tenn. I think he will be.

This was also a game where our terrible o-line was exposed...with Faneca and Woody and the continued maturation of Mangold and D-Brick, it's not going to happen again. Penny was sacked 6 times, fumbled twice and was constantly running(or in his case, plodding) for his life.

Collins is a huge guy but more of a statue. He's not going to slip out and worm his way for 15-20 yards like Cassel. Also a chronic case of fumbleitis and will throw picks if pressured. Very similar to Testaverde. Also no Moss or Welker to worry about so we can blitz him more. Scaife can be a problem though, big TE's always walk all over us

expect a similar game to last years, 16-13 Jets is my pick.

This is actually a pretty good well thought out post. I think you hit every valid point that could be hit. I think we will have a tough time running the ball and Cortland Finnegan maybe one of the most underrated DBs in the league. They are a very good team that doesn't make alot of mistakes. It's a shame Jeff Fischer didn't have the benefit of filming his opponents because I'd like to see how many Super Bowls he'd have won if he did.

I remember that quote and posted it. The darksiders tore it apart like they are apt to do with any positive news. The fact of the matter is that we were not as bad as we showed last year. There were a lot of close games and the needs were apparant and filled this off season. Great job by Tangini.

The key to this game is a couple of quick scores. We NEED to take Lendale and Chris Johnson out of the game, and do it early. I trust our run defense, but when these two keep pounding the ball at us it would be tough. Get some scores, and make Kerry Collins show he can air it out to win.

Yes you are correct, if we came out of the gate we did against the Pats the Jets will win this game. The Titans do not the QB or the WRs to amount any type of comeback. They are built to wear you down with a strong rushing attack and force you into making mistakes on offense. They do nt have the horses to make a run once getting down big.

I kind of unfamiliar with the titans secondary, I know they have Chris Hope, but who else do they have? Are they any good? Since there line is so beast, I hope Keller,Cotch,Coles will be able to beat them

We Blitz the shit out of collins force him to try to be a playmaker which he never will be and let our CB's and LB's win this on D for us... Against the run big Jenkins change's everything despite facing meatloaf white and Johnson on Offense its gonna be tough facing the Nasty ass D of the Titans... But we gotta do what we do and run it with leon and let faneca and woody prove why we paid them and play action More and have favre work with Keller , Coles and Cotch. Gonna be fun to watch...

    I Got Jets 21 Titans 14

They have pro-bowl lock Cortland Finnegan at corner, and the man is an absolute ball hawk.
