Last night was the first time I had to mute my tv.

All they did was ride Brady all fucking night. He made a 2 yard throw to the sideline to Welker for 4 yards and Gruden was drooling all over him. "Brady is just unbeatable. Perfect throw right there doesnt get much better than this. Its such a pleasure to watch a future hall of famer do great things out here tonight jaws."Gruden is a dick riding faggot. Pissed me the fuck off.

When the game is on ESPN or NFL Network I usually put it on mute anyways, all their commentators are terrible. Not necessarily because they are cheering for the other team, they just fuck up a lot and are annoying all around.

Joe Theisman trying to analyze a game is more painful than eating glass.

i did it also -- i do it for non jet games also at times. Gruden becomes such a kiss ass at times it is hard to listen too. Look I get that Brady is a top notch QB, but I don't need to hear it ever three seconds. The Pats have the worst defense in football so last night does not make them the 85 bears it makes them the worst defense in football that had a good night. Even a broken clock shows the correct time twice a day.

Yes, the mute button has become my friend during Yankee road play off games and once again last night. I couldn't take Gruden lauding every Patriots player like they just landed on the moon.

I get it we had woodhead on our roster and he didn't fit our scheme...he goes to NE and is only playing because Faulk blew out his knee and he is the second coming. Gruden talked him up like an all pro ... brady is god, belli is the most amazing defensive coach in all the land blah blah blah

I think all the commentators on television would have gushed about the Pats last night if they could, but instead we will just have to hear it for the next month or so.

And everytime LT runs for more than 7 yards do we not hear
"hes found a new spark with the Jets!" "the future hall of famer still has it!" "the best ever!" "zomg!"
Commentators are like that with most of the veteran/star players in the league, just deal with it. Same goes for them gushing over Rex Ryan every single fucking 3rd down because they know he likes to blitz... and anytime Brad Smith takes a snap "Wow hes so versatlie he does everything, he played QB in college!"

I can't stand em either, but to say its only for Tom Brady is a bit biased. And you can't even say its only the MNF crew, even the local crew like Boomer and Eagle go on each week in the same way. Though Gruden really does suck. a lot

Brady deserved every compliment he got last night. The guy is a step above everyone right now. Give the devil his due. Hopefully we'll bounce back, get into the playoffs in some form or fashion and wreak some havoc. We saw last year that once you're in the playoffs, anything can happen. The best team doesn't always win the Super Bowl, and we aren't the best team in the NFL.

Cleveland sure as hell isn't better than the Pats, but they kicked the shit out of them that Sunday. At least we've won most of the games we were supposed to this year. The concern is that we haven't fared well against top-tier teams. We won't exactly be facing the Panthers in the playoffs. Barring a complete meltdown, we should get into the playoffs.

Personally, what I find most annoying is the credit given to all these totally average players on the Patriots. Take 95% of the team out of Belichick's system and they are absolute garbage.

Branch is a perfect example of what I'm talking about - SB MVP, to nothing with Seattle, now back to making big plays on a regular basis. Even Woodhead, put on any other team (*cough, cough*), would be entirely average or worse. But... get a bunch of overpaid, hyperbowling sycophants in the booth, and you'd think the whole team is made of superstars. Although I really like Gruden a lot, his booth presence has left much to be desired. Between him and "Jaws" sucking off the Patriots, I almost had to thrown my beer mug at the bar T.V. (but wasting good beer goes against my morals).

So, great analysis, "analysts". THEY ARE ALL PRODUCTS OF THE SYSTEM.

When teams lose to the Patriots, they are losing to Belichick and no one else. Quit sucking the players off, many of them are average at best.

Couldnt stand last nite when Tirico killed Ryan for not challenging the TD where the WR came down on his wrist, as they are going to break he says that is a bad use of challenges but then coming back Ryan was actually Ryan in not to challenge the call when Tirico was going over the replay he tried to back himself out of it.

Who cares, those guys put up numbers and played their asses off. I wish we had more guys who were products of our system. I don't care if they shared enemas before the game, they played well last night.

You kinda had to expect that going in. Jaws and Gruden have a QB fetish.

What annoyed the hell out of me was how they were in there joking around about Gerard Warren clotheslining Keller. It's a blatant penalty but rather than acknowledge that they'd rather have a laugh about it. You wonder if they're even interested in calling the game at times.

The only good part about last night was the fact that I watched the game at a bar, which meant I couldn't hear that bullshit.

    "Who cares"?

My post was about the MNF crew being entirely ignorant of what's entirely obvious: without Belichick, many of the players are average, at best. I never said the players didn't play well, but the credit was misdirected.

And I'll say, even despite hating the Patriots more than any other team, that Belichick is probably the best coach the football world has ever seen. I've watched many Patriots games trying to gain some small sense of prediction in their play-calling - but there hardly is one. Even last night, the diversity in their play-calling was astonishing, and probably contributed more to their offensive success than anything else.

Belichick deserves the majority of the credit, not the players. When I get a great haircut, I don't credit my hair follicles - I credit my barber.

Point: the MNF crew are ignorant sycophants, and their sucking off of a group of average players was overwhelmingly sickening. To say the least.

Niether a Jet fan nor a Patriots fan, and I was so disgusted by the commentary. We were literally laughing when hard after so much praise. "O did you see that, it was a side pass, thrown just like Derek Jeter, and blah blah blah".

I was expecting them to say something along the lines of 'Brady just jumped so high, I thought it was Jordan out there'.
