Kerry Rhodes: a fuckin' diva who "sits back" and who has 1/2 the balls of that lil' runt Jim Leonard .....another thing with Jenx potential impact in terms of freeing up the "odd-man" blitz....or Leon Washington catch-and-and-flying 'behind' them (on a screen pass--and with that threat...being able to keep their speed 'LB'at home) we need a 4-3 pass rush unless we can get some 1-on-1 edge pass rushers that'll free up the blitzers much like Jenx does pushing "the middle" I keep thinkin' 'bout that "Leon" game against 10-0 the Titans in THEIR stadium. Kerry Rhodes is a good player. Do you know how many safeties, all time, have been at Ed Reed's level? Less than you can count on one hand. It's much more important to bring in more talent at CB and the D-Line than it is to create a hole at safety.
I think we need an upgrade for sure. But whom? Rhodes has shown the ability to be good in the past, but he really needs to refocus himself and become a better player.
Kerry Rhodes is a playmaker on this team. Seriously though, he's a douche and a pansy but he's too talented to let walk.
Only let him go if we can improve the position. We need someone other than Eric Smith to fill in the role.
Rhodes is a decent enough safety that we needn't draft one in the first or second round. But we could definitely take a flyer on one in the 4th or 5th and I wouldn't mind.
He used to be a playmaker on this team. His best play of the year was the hit he put on Rivers to force a fumble. He's not a force over the middle, no one is scared of his signature "backside" tackle, he gets confused when he's playing in space, and he doesn't seem like a 'team' guy.
Rhodes is a good player. We're a defense full of good players. We just only have one elite player, and that's the problem if we want to be an elite defense. Safety is one place we can upgrade, but I wouldn't go out of my way to replace Rhodes. But he's not a playmaker, an impact player.
He's not a playmaker. He's a solid safety who talks big and thinks he's on the level of an Ed Reed. You can't give him away but I'd like an upgrade. It would be nice to have a ball hawking safety who can pick some balls off.
He is not good at what the safety position requires of him and that is pass coverage, he is the reason the Colts scored that TD at the end of the second quarter, he was supposed to pick up the coverage over the top. Get rid of him.
yeah that sucked he didnt do jack shit this year except recover that onside kick that blitz he came free on unblocked... I'm sure we can find someone who can run straight unblocked at a QB
would only get rid of him if i thought we could get eric berry or perhaps mays. but that aint happening
