Alot of people saw Bubby Brister when they saw the #6 jersey and apparently the memories of him aren't necessarily good ones...or there was some QB who threw a retarded pass late in a playoff game and completely blew it.
Geez, I dont care about his number and neither do many more...I was just letting people know because there may be a few out there who want his jersey.
You misunderstood Penny. I am glad you made this thread and I found out Clemens changed his number. I was talking about when you said people thought of Bubby Brister or something bad. The number didn't matter to me.

I seem to remember the jets had a QB who wore #6 named Bill Demery (sp?) in the early 70s. I recall a game against NE where he played the whole game and completed only one pass (to David Knight) but it was good enough to set up the winning field goal for the jets.
