Wants a piece of the Jets franchise. Smart move by him. It all comes clear now. Offseason Rodgers says every day that he wants to play for the Jets. The huge restructuring of his contract. Comes clear now.
I could think of worse things than an ownership group that includes Aaron Rodgers, but he would have to be retired for that to work legally. And when I say "worse", I mean Woody Johnson.
Is there a rule regarding length of time between retirement and ownership that you know of--thanks in advance.
In your limited mind thats how you interpret the op statement--but he is referring to the 35 million cut he took.
I know what he meant. And the anti-Rodgers crowd will look for anything to explain away why he took a pay cut that doesn't include Rodgers desire to play for the Jets and win. It must be becaise they promised him something that isn't even possible.
I'd say its more than likely they have a handshake deal for Rodgers get a small stake in the Jets when he retires. Why would fans care. He might be a good influence on Woody and it saved us cap money.
Of course he did, that would be a lot of guaranteed money, over the course of his life, however not even possible
