Since there are other NFL stories today..this one kinda got buried on the back page. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...eaves-arizona-cardinals-suffering-memory-loss Pretty scary considering he's only 36. Even if he wants to continue playing I find it hard to believe the Cards staff putting him back on the field.
This goes beyond the game folks. Let your hate for Abraham go as he's gonna pay the price for his NFL career the rest of his life. Try to imagine having to deal with possible brain damage at age 36. That he still wants to play is admirable, but foolhardy. Time to put that college degree to use there Big John. Move on while you still can..
I can't believe he has memory loss already. What a horrible shame. I wish him all the best and hope that there are advancements in the medical community to deal with any brain issues he has.
Guess he didn't sit out enough, scrub. He fucked us in the playoffs to get paid. Don't ever forget that Abe! We'll remind you.
Very good player, but never great IMO. Best of luck John. I never really held it against him too much for not playing in that playoff game, but I know I'm in the minority.
I never hated him like most Jets fans do. And to this day we still haven't replaced Abraham. He should retire football isn't worth it at this point.
Yup. I don't get the hate for a former Jet but if some of you do, that's your prerogative. But to knock him in this thread given this news is classless. _
Seriously though, best of luck to him and hopefully the damage isn't too much for him to have a meaningful and happy life moving forward.
^I think it was a shoulder injury (or maybe lower back), but I can't remember (no pun intended). Anyway, he could have played, but he chose not to bc he had a big contract year coming up. He took the money instead of playing a little banged up in the playoffs. We beat San Diego without him and lost to the Steelers.
