I like our chances to compete in most of our games this year, but to call us a playoff team is a bit extreme. I like us as a playoff team in 2007 if we make the right moves in the draft
Well, at least posters aren't claiming the Jets will make the Super Bowl this year, as they were this time last year.

So many great moves being made and the core roster of 04 is still present, stay healthy in 06, continue to make great moves in the off-season and have a great draft, and we are playoff bound in 06. Nah....Not yet. But Jets' are 1 season removed from being in the AFC Championship game. Most of the key players are still there. Jets' have a viable schedule this season & barring key injuries, they will make playoffs.....Maybe as wildcard...
yea i agree 2 with roba with all these signings and the draft we will be better than everybody anticipates
it's really not that farfetched at all....imo any team has a shot next year except for probably san francisco (possibly green bay if favre retires) to make the playoffs....you can not bash people for thinking that we have a shot at the playoffs, because we have a good core of guys and a new hungry regime. All we need is consistent play from the qb and let our d play up to their potential
New York Jets will start an unbeaten streak this year that extends for a quarter century. That's right. 25 consecutive Super Bowl wins for us during that unbeaten streak. But on the real, as long as we can hook up some offense in the draft we should be a contender for a playoff spot this upcoming year. I love Ben Graham but I could do with seeing him alot less on TV during Jets games in '06

I agree...as long as our coaching does a good job gameplanning against the opponent week to week rather than keeping it mundane as it has been there should be no problem
Im not going to say we are making the playoffs but im not saying we aren't either... The bears were a horrible team, and made the playoffs this past year, they have done this feat twice... How many teams have been a horrible or losing team and made the playoffs the following year? Many... Our core is stil a playoff team, we lost players and gained hard workers... We have a chance to pull anything off... Versus having no chance of anything...

Royaltee we didn't make the playoffs last year because of injury, obviously not becaus we played very bad... It was our tackles who got our QB's hurt, how in hell did we know our tackles were going to be mediocre?
