Thought it was a nice read. Interesting how they are tying to teach him up using angles and stuff to at least be possible to use jukes in the future.

Thats like saying I want the receivers to drop the ball less......just cause its said doesn't mean he'll juke more

its not so much about juking as it is not taking the full brunt of the blow. curtis martin was great at that. he never seemed to take a clean hit... its an awareness and almost subconcious thing.

some guys have it, some guys well they only play 4 years and then retire.

Nice read. Yeah, I wondered about this. I kinda suspected they didn't want him to put the ball in a situation where it could get stripped. But I guess that's not the case.

Seems like something you would learn in pop warner or high school, not the NFL ...

He goes down on first contact made. Almost seems as if he gets the ball, closes his eyes, and runs as fast as he can.

Greene is a #2 period, we need to address the position in the offseason. Whether that be free agency or the draft.

i think shonn just has no instinct for finding holes. juking more probably wont help. he'll end up just getting confused.
who knows. i'm no coach and i'm not on the practice field. but i sense this wont help much.

He is what he is at this point. A straight downhill runner who lacks vision and isn't a very good blocker or receiver. He can definitely be a part of the solution in the backfield but another back needs to step up and help him out. I don't want to see him get 300 carries. 200 is a good number and the other 200 can be given to Tebow, Powell and McKnight depending on game situations.

I think even if he just adjusts a little he could pick up a lot more yards. Rather than hitting them head on, at least try to make them miss or hit them at an angle.

Greene, despite what he or the coaches may think, is not big or strong enough to be a power runner. He's not Bettis who could barrel over people. Greene is more of a LT type who should be running around linemen and crashing into DB's.

He had a chance to work with one of the best ever, did he not learn anything?

Shonn Greene is dumber than a bag of hay. He's nothing more than a COP back. Why does this organization suck so badly scouting the runningback position? It's the easiest position to find immediate talent for the least cost and they just continue to fail at it year after year.

Not gonna happen. Its not his style of running and asking him to do so when he's 27 is hopeful.

Just play Bilal Powell more and Joe McKnight, thats the only way this offense will get more dynamic.

That's nice, but he doesn't run like that anymore. Open field he is fine, any contact and he folds up like a $2 table.

I don't think he has any moves to use.

he's basically the bigger and slower version of Thomas Jones

not to mention the only time he ever sniffs 100 yards is when he gets 27-30 carries a game.

He's a "punishing" back who doesn't run angry. Powell is going to be taking the majority of the snaps by the end of the year. Let's just be honest.
