At least Rich Eisen is on our side... http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-total-access/09000d5d81bd8805/Did-Jets-get-robbed
Got robbed? I think so Need to move on because refs will always make bad calls? Yes Maybe throughout the remainder of the season the Jets will get some calls to go their way that is all we as fans can hope for. Some offense against the lions would be nice too. Go! Jets! you can do it.
Meh, looking at the replays Cotch seemed to lose control of the ball before he hit the ground and Keller I really couldn't tell, still annoying though.
At this point, the Jets WRs need to not let go and fight for it. If its dual possession, the ref will give the Jets the ball when they blow the whistle.
you can debate the first catch, but the 2nd Keller was clearly down. i hate this possession shit. what is there a magic number of seconds you must have possession? the possession rule is so unclear in many scenarios.
obviously both of those INts were BS calls BUT they didn't cost us the game. We had a million chances to win that game and we couldn't do it.
I think the Cotchery play was a legit pick but the Keller play was a legit catch. Overall though, the Jets lost because of self-inflicted wounds and unforced errors.
there's bad calls, there's bad calls, then there's these calls that make you wonder who is paying these fucking POS officials off. Both times -- Clear receptions and down by contact. This is fucking ridiculous.
I laughed at Dolphins fans for blaming their loss to Pitt on the refs and I'm gonna do the same to Jets fans. The wr's lost the game for the Jets all the way around. If they actually fight for either of the balls that ended up being INT's we don't need to have this discussion. If they actually catch a pass or two we also don't have this discussion.
The refs have played a huge part in 3 out of the 7 Jets games this season. Ravens (Edwards and the acting job that Baltimore's punter did), Broncos (Holmes call, Leonhard, few bad PI calls against the Jets) and this game. In all of these games, the Jets squandered opportunities on their own. Better officiating would've helped in every game (including the Broncos game), but, the officials are part of the game, they make mistakes like everyone else and teams will always focus on parts of the game that they have control over.
I agree. Always play tough. But just looking at these calls -- Receiver catches ball, receiver is down by contact, defender pulls ball out of receivers hands = Interception? And the calls can't be challenged. Hmmm.
Yeah it sucks and I think it was a bad call but my philosophy about these things is that you can't leave it up to the refs to make the right call. Make sure they have no other choice but to make the right call.
We needed to make exactly one of two plays. Sanchez hits Edward behind the entire secondary instead of going to Cotchery. Holmes catches the ball late and scores 7.
We best be out for blood this Sunday. Being a UGA alum living in Athens, I got love for Stafford -- but after that debacle with GB, our offense has to make an f'n statement. Run up the score so high, that these corrupt officials and their tainted play calling have no possible bearing on our win.
