Does anyone know Chad's record in a dome? Dont believe we had played much indoors but would be nice to know. I was trying to research this but game up with nothing. Anyone else that could figure this out please post. I think it would benefit our offense being that our fast players will be able to strut there speed. Leon, Miller, Cotchery, Coles should take advantage.
I think Minny has FieldTurf which is the same surface we have but in domes the Jets are 1-2 w/ Chad. '02 beat detroit 31-14 '03 Lost at Indy 38-31 '04 Lost at SL 32-29 The good news is we averaged 30 PPG though in Indy we had a KR TD and in SL we had a KR and defensive TD.
I don't think I'll ever forget that game. We got our first look at Cotchery. Vilma also had a hell of a game, not only the big pick for a touchdown but does anyone remember the HUGE hit he had on kickoff? He laid out St Louis' returner harder than I think I've ever seen a Jet player hit someone.
thanx a alot. We could win this if our speedy guys breakout some plays. At least we can score in domes.
The Jets won at the Metrodome in 1982 and in 1994, so 12 years later we're right on schedule. Jets win.
You know, I never thought of that, very strange 3 games in a row spaced out by 12 years. I think the Jets win big Sunday anyway.....
1975 -Joe Namath was our QB..that's a pretty damn long time ago That year also happened to be the last time we lost to the Cardinals.....back then the NFL didn't schedule NFC games by division....
I only posted the games Chad played but yes you are correct and i did forget about the Atl game but Chad didn't play. Yes the Colts still had Astroturf that year.
Nice Stat Stupid stat but interesting anyway. We need this kind of day out of Chad or were sunk Jets quarterback Chad Pennington has played three career games in a dome. The Jets are 1-2 in those games, but Pennington has put up impressive indoor numbers, eight touchdown passes and one interception with a composite 124.3 passer rating. The Jets will play in the Metrodome against the Vikings on Sunday.
Domes are right up his alley for 2 reasons: 1) No weather... conditions are 70 and no wind always 2) No crown on the field. This means the sidelines are on the same level as the middle of the field.
