Jets sign another former Aaron Rodgers teammate in Adrian Amos The Jets are adding yet another former Aaron Rodgers teammate. Former Packers safety Adrian Amos agreed to a one-year, $4 million contract with the Jets on Tuesday, according to multiple reports. Amos, 30, spent the last four seasons with the Packers after four years with the Bears. He had 102 total tackles with seven tackles for a loss, one sack and one interception last season. A starter his entire career, Amos has not missed a game since 2017. @KY Jets Fan should be happy...
Add one more former Packer to the mix. This dude is durable hasn't missed a game since 2017. https://nypost.com/2023/06/13/jets-sign-another-former-aaron-rodgers-teammate-in-adrian-amos/
If he can play like he did a few years ago, he is a really good addition. But last year he played terrible in coverage.
Big fan of this move. He had a down year last year but I think he still has some juice left in the tank. I've viewed Clark and Whitehead as SS/SS depth and Amos gives us a guy who's played FS most of his career. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Amos is our starting FS come Week 1.
Agreed - a good move. Basically now we replaced Joyner and Parks with Amos and Clark, which is a definite upgrade. Amos is 2 years younger than Joyner too. Could be a huge upgrade if he can get back to previous form - big upside there in spite of Joyner like last year. Solid move by JD.
Good move although I think he’s also more of a strong safety. I like the idea of loading up at a position of need. Someone is bound to workout. Saleh’s defensive scheme is fairly easy to understand for a free safety though. Don’t let anyone run behind you. Surely one of these guys can figure that out.
Just found out. He's a solid safety. If he's a backup then that's great depth. He can start though as well. Sent from my IPhone 43 using Tapatalk V.86
Really nice pickup. He’s a tackling machine with good hands to boot. Extra bonus is he stays on the field, damn I hope I didn’t jinx him.
Maybe this guy is a friend of Rodgers or something, but the guy who would know if this dude has it left in the tank is the guy he was defending the long ball against every day in practice. Can't be bad to get a scouting report like that. I'm cautiously optimistic.
Clark is seeking a second opinion, but it's not looking good. The Amos move makes a lot more sense with this news.
If last year was an aberration and he returns to his form prior to 2022, he'll be a huge, bargain of an addition. If we get last year's, it may be a problem for the secondary. Either way, probably a good signing with where things are now. Really a bummer about Chuck Clark. He sounded like a really solid player. I hope Tony Adams can step up too
can’t be a bigger problem than we had before. That’s how bad they were and he’s an improvement even at his lesser self. Stop gap for a year until we can draft someone
