The Wilson ranking is encouraging considering it's presumably the same scouts responsible for them drafting Gallup and Lamb.
Yeah, that was cool to see. Though KT at #1 and JJ at #28 wasn't ideal to see. Hopefully they can evaluate WR well, while JD/Saleh know more about Edge than they do! Jets rated Hall #18, while they #19, almost identical.
Interestingly Giants got #1 (KT) and #2 (Neal) on their board, they must have been pissed about that!
Well said. My only concern is them ranking JJ low but apparently so did a lot of teams. We gotta hope JJ turns out above average. But I was encouraged to see Wilson so high up on their board.
Say what you want about the Cowboys, but they have drafted well in recent years. That we got 2 of their top 5 prospects isn't insignificant.
Well, I’m most encouraged. They had Hall higher than JJ but on the balance we had a steal on all of them in my opinion
Yes. The fact BOTH Jets AND Cowboys had Wilson and Sauce in their top 6 is indeed meaningful. Similarly Jets had Hall 18th and Cowboys 19th. If both JD and Cowboys, who typically draft well, agree on the prospects, there is a good chance that's where these prospects belong. It will be interesting to see who was right when it came to KT and JJ, because there appears to be a real disagreement between the teams. I am hoping Saleh, who has a reputation for good work with Edge players, gets this one, but there is no consensus on that one like there is for the other 3.
I mean i personally felt he was overrated but doesn't man he's a bad player or bad pick. realistically we weren't getting him without using that 4 pick and the fact we still got JJ and wilson made it good for me.
The boys were well down the order. Can't imagine they did much work on the tops 10 and just had them about as just info. Cowboys also known not to give a damn about character, especially their D players.
