Your talking about some serious weapons. NOt to mention Thunder (L Jordan) and Lightning(J Fargas) You can bet A Walter(whose been coming on) is real happy. BTW Yes J porter has alot of incentive to play well. Alot of NFl eyes will be on him .
The defense is top notch and only going to get better with time. Raiders have the QB and the skill positions . IT all comes down to five guys on oline. Its unbelievable that Raiders have played seven games and these guys are making the same mistakes. Gannon couldn't believe the breakdown problems on oline, as alot of times they just left a olb a free path to QB. How does that happen constantly with two of the best Olineman ever (ART Shell and J slater) coaching these guys. BTw Randy Moss had about three drops again. This guy needs to get his head out of his arse.
Oakland, quietly, is boasting a pretty solid defense. I like Thomas Howard the most, but they do have some talent there... Big Ben into 4 INTs? That is no fluke, who cares about the 380+ yardage they gave up, they won the turnover battle and dominated Roethlisberger.
That 380 + Yardage was a bogus stat. Most of those yards were accumulated late in fourth quarter after Raiders went up fourteen points. They than went to a prevent defense. Also Big ben completed a hail mary three Yards short of endzone to end game. The game was a defensive struggle all game, as neither offense could do anything.
Yep the Steelers had 378 fake yeardage in the 4th quarter. the raiders ultimate defense went into a super prevent with 9 cornerbacks on the field and one 6'2 335 4.8 40 linemen rushing. Oh god the raiders defense is a mix of Lawrence taylor, Dick Butkus ad Ronnie Lott. With Deon Sanders being the no. 3 cornerback.
Okay when you have 90 yards of totally offense and you win because it was luck. Okay keep believing that. Guess you will find out the hard way NewYears eve. Than and only than will you know what a defense the raiders have.
I saw this post and decided to look at the Jimmy Smith thread where I wrote good things about Gabriel. I decided to bump the thread based on Raiderjoe's claim that the Raiders would have a better offense than the Colts this season! Go check it out.
People thought I was delusional when I was talking about Raiders defense too.(now who getting the last laugh and scary part it only going to get alot better ) Raiders have all the firepower that any offense(including the colts) have but we won't see that potential, till the Oline starts playing alot more consistant. Once that group starts being consistant, than look out.(very confident we have our QB) Hey I can wait as Raiders start one of the youngest team on both sides of the ball.
The Raiders have to play well on defense against good teams before I am impressed. Ben Roethlisberger with a concussion on a complacent Steelers team does not count as a good team. We'll see what the Raiders defense is all about in a three-game stretch beginning with the Broncos on November 12. To follow are trips to Kansas City and San Diego. Johnson'll put over 100 yards rushing on Oakland's ass. The Raiders do not have all the firepower that any team has and it's not even close.
