i stopped reading after the last sentence...

"Listening to a Jet's podcast and in an interview with Jenkins he says he is "disgruntled" since he feels at this point that he could be playing but since he was put on IR that will not happened."

mods please change the title of this thread to "Jenkins could have been playing?" the title is really misleading

Nah, he would not be ready to be his old self. The team made the right move.

he may want to play, but I have a hard time believing his surgically repaired knee is ready to sturdy his 300 lb body through a full contact game. I'd prefer he wait until next year when the knee is fully healed than risk him long term on a knee probably less than 90%.

Kris Jenkins tore his ACL. He's injured, not hurt.

Kris Jenkins said he felt like he could play a week after his surgury. The doctor told him he was a fucking moron.

He posted something like that on his facebook

I agree, we are doing good without him. Of coarse if he was there he would be HUGE difference. But he needs to be 100% and that wont be til next season. Its the right move keeping him sidelined for the rest of the year... Dont worry Kris we will be back again next year... You'll have your shot...

As much as it would be great to have a HEALTHY Jinx in there, he needs to heal up and be ready for next year.

Of course Jenkins is pissed. The team is in the playoffs and he's riding an exercise bike and getting twisted into a painful pretzel by physical therapists. Most of us would probably feel the same way. It doesn't mean he should be on the field with a recently repaired ACL.

I thought I read on newyorkjets.com that he couldn't even go to the games because he couldn't stand for the entire game and he couldn't risk bumping his knee against anyone or anything. I doubt he could play....

if jenks never went down, we would have #1 passing AND #1 rushing defense.

    has the ever happened?

I feel for Jenkins because he's a competitor and he wants to play. But the bottom line is, torn ACL = automatic IR. Also, I can't imagine him being in game shape. He's just frustrated with the situation and he has every right to be.
