Jeff Jagodzinski was fired by BC for interviewing with the Jets, and many expected him to go to Seattle and be the Offensive Coordinator for Jim Mora. However, they hired Greg Knapp. If the reports are true, then Mangini is looking to bring Brian Daboll to Cleveland to be his QB Coach with the Browns.

I can put two and two and two together and come up with six. The Jets obviously value Jagodzinski enough to have brought him in for an interview despite the threats of his firing from Boston College, though some suggest that he was not amongst the top tier of candidates. To me, this means that he is being considered for another position within the organization, as well as head coach.

He has experience as an offensive line coach and as an offensive coordinator in the NFL, so I could see him shifting in to the offensive coordinator spot if (god forbid) Brian Schottenheimer is named Head Coach or leaves for another job, or if the next coach asks him to step down.

What do you think of Jagodzinski getting a spot as a coach on the Jets staff?

Honestly, I'd be happy with that. He did a very good job at BC. I think he could be a pretty good head coach down the line, but I think he needs more experience. I'd definitely take him as an OC, though I'm not entirely familiar with his playcalling. All I've read is that he has a more aerial attack.

If Jeff comes here, hopefully it will be as OC..but it seems it is HC or nothing.

Well, he has no job right now, and if he really wants to be in the NFL as rumored, he'd take an assistant's job. I would think he'd want to be an OC though.

I wouldn't mind if he became our head coach. He had a great record with Boston College and coached an excellent QB in Matt Ryan, so he could definitely make something out of the QB that comes after Favre.

Maybe he'll be the qb coach since daboll is leaving to go to the browns.
