Just saw The Ultimate Depth Chart on ESPN, where they rank Offense and Defense by division and Jaworski said that our offense ranks last in the AFC East. 4th! He doesn't deserve a spot on Monday Night Football. He's lost all credibility. His rankings were: Offense 4. Jets 3. Bills 2. Dolphins 1. Pats Defense 4. Bills 3. Dolphins 2. Jets 1. Pats
Yeah I saw that one too and i was like how is our offense worst in the division.. Made it seem like we didnt even go to the Playoffs last year... Most of the guys that the teams acquired didnt even play on down for there team and they are just giving them all the glory already.. its a shame and good thing superbowls arent won by peoples perceptions... Last but not least they said New England won the last 5 consecutive AFC East Titles which i can not deny but who was the second team always challenging them for the division title???? J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS
The Bills 1) Rookie RB 2) Like 3/5 new offensive line made up of players that couldn't cut it anywhere else 3) A bottom third of the league QB 4) No tight end 5) One wide reciever worth mentioning The Phins 1) New QB 2) No McMichaels who was one of their better players 3) A RB who still hasnt shown he can carry the full load and be as good as they thought he would 4) One wide reciever worth mentioning 5) The loss of Wes Welker - not a huge loss, but still an important part of their offense The Jets 1) QB that finally had a fully healthy offseason 2) Second year in an innovative, exciting, and productive offense 3) A new, proven workhorse RB 4) The always reliable Coles 5) The newly broken-out Cotchery, who may end up being better than Coles 6) Our two rookie o-lineman are no longer rookies and should play much better this season Im not going to argue over the Pats, but how in the hell does this dumbass think the Bills and Phins are going to have better offenses than us?
One other thing i did see and can't remeber wether it was cnnsi, espn, or nfl.com but it did say how it was time for us to give up Chad Pennington at the helm if we ever want to make it to the next level which is the superbowl and unlike our one win in the playoffs and be happy about the season..
2nd place I am sure you know is for LOSERs so you are confirming with your post that we are losers which I am sure not what you intended to do.
You certainly can deny that: 2002 - NY Jets 2003 - NE Patriots 2004 - NE Patriots 2005 - NE Patriots 2006 - NE Patriots Unless we already played the 2007 season and the Pats won the division, then they most definately have not won the last five division titles. But by my count, they've only won four out of the last five. Not that I am proud of us not having a title since '02, but these writers should at least know wtf they are talking about before they put that shit in an article.
My point is that we are not 4th either. Yes we would want to win the division but my personal theory is let Kellen Take over and maybe we could win a division. We need to get down the field so the will respect our run game.. Not none of the dink and dump stuff for how many more seasons??? I dont know about you but im ready to go to the top of the division but chad isnt the answer.. Love his personality his toughness, brains, clock control but his arm I have no faith..
There is only goal for me which is winning a SB otherwise it was just another losing season to go with the last 38 years before that
Much as I'd like to stick it to you Jets fans, I'd have to agree with you. I don't see how you rank the Jets below the Dolphins or the Bills. That's just idiotic. Maybe he questions the Jets QB position, but c'mon....take a look at the other 2, Loserman and Trent Green? I like Green, but we'll see how he does on a talentless offense and a bad O-line...I don't actually expect him to make it through the year without a trip or two to the DL.
True That!!! Im all for it we just got to get over the hump I feel we can have a Rain/Dynasty as well
Yes I would certainly like to watch us win a SB not just continuing watch SB3 which was many, many moons ago
4 teams that finished in second place won the Super Bowl http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/release.jsp?release_id=1940
Look, you all might as well get ready for the annual Miami Dullphins blowfest. Every year in July, the Miami Dolphins are annointed the team to be up and coming. Why? Two reasons. one, Most sports writers are barely closoted homsexuals, who share an innate attraction to the Teal and Salmon colored uniforms, and Jason Taylor. Secondarily, once their bosses at the media outlets they work for buy in, it means extra business trips to Miam
Most nfl commentators just take a fly by approach to analyzing each team. They look for big names and make broad based assumptions. So, in this example, Jaws sees that Trent Green, a big name, goes to Dolphins. Therefore, in his high level analysis, they're a good offensive team now. It's silly
Everyone else outside of Ny sees the truth. Only we defend Chad. Nice guy but it's time to go. We want a superbowl not a one and done playoff berth!
Jaws is as good as it gets on any Network. He gave us an honest Reality check. The funny thing is we have one of the best wr duo's in the league and he still ranked us 4th. It might have something to do with the person throwing them the ball. Seems to be the consensus this off season by most analysts. Either way we will see how good our fearless leader is the first two games of the year. Ne and Baltimore!
Jaws is an out-of-touch has-been who was better at his former job than his current one. His former job? LT's tackling dummy.
