I give it one more week, if he struggles and we lose and fall to 1-3, we HAVE TO start Vick in San Diego. Because at that point our season would be at the breaking point and I would not give Geno another week in a very tough environment.
We're 1-2, our two games we lost were within one score and people are already whining about how we should switch QBs. Dumbest fanbase ever.
What would the point of that be? how do you continue to evaluate Geno if he is on the bench? benching a 2nd year player is something you do if you are a good football team with playoff aspirations. not a medicure team in year 2 of a rebuild. benching a 2nd year player is something you do when the guy you are benching him for is a longer term option. vick is not a long term option.

geno is doing a lot of really stupid shit. sliding for a loss instead of throwing out away and stopping the clock inside the two minute. running out of bounds for a loss instead of throwing it away. blindly throwing into a crowd whenever he's pressured. back peddling 15 yards when pressured up the middle. he's doing some good things too but the bad is out weighing the good by a lot right now IMO.
That's not necessarily true at all. Why bench him? Because we haven't seen a playoff game in three seasons. Because our head coach is coaching for his life. Because we have the potential to be a playoff team. Because Geno has been good awful lately. Vick could very well be an answer for a couple years. You play the player that gives you the best chance to win. Is Geno that guy right now? It doesn't seem that way.

We have been in every game. Geno isnt the problem. When Johnson isnt doing anything, Receivers cant get open, dropping passes, Winters, terrible refs. I mean, what can the poor guy do? That first INT was awful, he side armed it and it went way outside. Then he came back, went 10-13, lost Decker and then shit started going down hill. Decker on the field in both games and we are looking at 3-0. I dont want to waste this season putting Vick in and losing what we could have in Geno. What is Vick gonna do with this group that Geno cant? Run? Ill pass.
