The Jets have taken away the tight end as a scoring threat since the season began. They have allowed just 2.67 receptions and 51 yards per game to the position.
Might be because we have 4 linebackers--regardless of talent, it's hard to hit slower guys (TEs) for short yardage with an extra guy around. And it doesn't really matter when our defensive line is giving up big yards to RBs and our secondary is getting torched by WRs.
Teams have had so much success running the ball and throwing in Miller's direction that there has been no need to use the tight end except for blocking.
