IMHO these are the key elements of the game for us to win
    1) Take a hard look at how Miami played the Pats and figure out a way to neutralize that strategy. If they can rattle Brady they can sure rattle Chad
    2) Take a hard look at how the Bills played the fish last week and enhance that strategy. Play a very aggressive D and stay away from the prevent defense, run, run, run, go deep and screens .
    3) Take the fans out of the game early. Let them go home for Christmas at the half
    4) They will try to neutralize our stenghts (Chad-Coles-Cotch short passes.)It is time to feature Baker, Smith. Leon and McCareins more
    5) Please do not abandon the run. Pound the ball down their guts for a while to keep them in position
    6) Excell in special teams
    7) Bring to the game the same confident attitude we took to NE
    8) Make no mistakes....expecially stupid ones like the one last week

I know that is a lot to ask...but we have the possibility to package it and deliver it. Go Jets

Marry Christmas to all the wonderful Thegangreen fans for their contributions, and for giving us the chance to be close to the Jets 24/7 with news, thoughts, hopes and stats

And to the very top of the list I would add... PROTECT CHAD!!!!

Especially Brick against Jason Taylor. Brick, let's wall up/wallop!
Ok that was a brutal pun, I'm aware of that.

    Good post.

Miami might expect us to use the pass to establish the run, like we did against the Vikes. We shouldn't do that. Don't give Taylor the opportunity to get disruptive early. It's important for us to establish the run early, with or without using the pass so much. I'm confident we can do that because Houston looked pretty determined last week to pull out the stops and finally showcase his abilities. He got the most out of every run last week.

If we don't get the 1st downs early, no problem. Our punting and special teams can handle it and getting our DEF on the field is a huge plus against the Phins. At all cost, we have to avoid the Chinese Firedrills.

The Jets need to just not blitz and get back into coverage all game. The Dolphins offense can only do well when you gamble and leave guys open.

Make Harrington beat us. It's that simple, and he can't.

Agree that Brick needs to have a huge day...give him some help if need be, but we have to stop Taylor from eating Chad alive. If our running game could get going that would be a huge plus.

As for defense, like you guys have said, stay aggressive and don't let Ronnie Brown get going. Keep Harrington pressured and he'll make his share of mistakes.

Special Teams will definitely be in our favor, too...
