i know what you mean though, its a slap in the face its SI saying yea your not good enough lol. i think thats the purpose of the cover story..........his draft stock has dropped he knows he will slip and hes ready to prove people wrong. im skeptic about all three of them. i just think young needs the right coaching, which can be said for any of them.
Yeah, huge slap in the face... thats why they put him on the cover... duh. The quotes from Young in the article about him, have nothing to do with the SI draft prognostication the magazine is Sports Illustrated not Vince Illustrated.
Mike Williams said the same thing last year and called out Tampa Bay(Carnell) and Chicago(Benson)... How'd that work out?
SI choose to put that quote on the same cover with their guru's top 5 selections that doesnt include him. They didnt have to put the quote on the cover, they could have chosen something else. SI knows full well what it is doing to Vince Young with that cover.
Well aware of that... but its not a slap in the face. Its a point & counter-point cover.... designed to appeal to both the Young supporter and detractor. Young supporters will see it as a slap in the face, while Young detractors will see it as him whining and the top 5 is an "I told you so" from the "more informed fan." Its a great layout, and it will do what its supposed to do... sell magazines. But, its definitely not a slap in the face.

I cant wait for this draft to be over. Vince Young is going to drop to 10 - 15 in the draft. And if the Jets draft him with no offensive line he's going to drop even more.
