Like the title says, IF the Jets decide to permanently bench Sanchez for one of the other two quarterbacks on roster, how do we unload Sanchez to another team? Realistically, who would want to trade for Mark given the contract situation? Arizona? Kansas City? Someone enlighten me here.
Sanchez will be here in 2013 no matter how McElroy plays. Worst contract negotiation by Tanny. But hindsight is 20/20 as he didn't expect Sanchez to suck so bad.
Basically I think they can't. They'll be stuck keeping him on the roster until they can cut him. Nobody is going to give up picks and his salary for what they've seen from him this year.
You don't. He's a backup, an overpaid one, like Vick, Smith, Flynn, Kolb, etc. You could probably trade Tebow for stuff though
It depends on the offsets in the contract. McElroy makes next to nothing, and a draft pick will make next to nothing. If we could offset half the salary to a team like Arizona, Jacksonville, etc, we would still be paying less for the QB position. Sanchez is moveable, but we will be on the hook for some cash.
It's to early to jump to conclusions Sanchez could have a good game against JAX if Rex decides to name him the starter then everything changes again,But I do want to see a full game from Mclroy
You can trade Sanchez to a team, and agree to eat a portion of his contract. You can also cut him and eat only $8 million next year, I think.
Not nessesarly true, Alot of coaches will look at what Sanchez has done in the playoffs and in the 2011 season and some of the good plays he has made and they will think they can be the ones to fix him. I could actually see Sanchez being good somewhere else with the right coaches
This is what makes me wonder if starting Sanchez and hoping he plays well for the remainder of our games is the best move for the Jets, so long as they're smart enough to trade him away if that happens...
Agreed. Sanchez does have trade value, but his contract will keep about 31 teams from even inquiring about his availability. He will be a Jet in 2013 n maybe get traded away next off season for a third day pick.
Probably can get a 6th rounder for Tebow as for Sanchez he isn't going anywhere, he's owed 8.3 mill. Great move by the legendary Mike T.
By packaging Holmes in the deal  they are a tremendous combination, fact. Maybe, by packaging Tebow in the deal too! That would be outstanding
