I would go hard after Parcell's and make him the GM. He will straighten this team out and get rid of the dead wood. Including Rex Ryan. You say he has no interest anymore? I bet if he gave him a lucrative deal he would come.

honest question, what has Bill Parcells done well recently?

He was the Exec. VP of Football Operations for the Dolphins from 2008-2010 and before that was the Cowboys coach from 2003-2006

    ... NO.

If there ever is an epic fail, this idea is.

Parcells hasn't had a competitive pulse since he left the sidelines in Dallas. He's proven what he needed to prove in life and he's going to enjoy the remainder and smell the flowers.

If Parcells still had a competitive pulse he would never have left the Jets until he won one and the same in Dallas. That's two organizations that were giving him everything he needed to make the run and he wound up walking away from both of them.

You don't go to the perfect place and win a championship. You win a championship wherever you wash up just because you say so and you're not going to quit until they drive you out of the organization or you win it.

Bill Belichik did go to the perfect place but he's a rare guy that got very lucky.

What better options are there? He is a good talent evaluator. Something Tannenbaum isn't. I can't really put the blame on him really since his primary role before becoming the GM was a capologist. What really concerns me is our owner.

Is Weeb Ewbank still around? He'd be a better coach than Rex.

OK fair enough. Who would you bring in as GM?

he is the Larry Brown of the NFL, he doesn't stay in one spot for too long. We need someone that's gonna be here for the longhaul.

Parcells went 9-7, no playoffs, 12-4, AFC Championship loss and 8-8. Rex went 9-7 with an AFC Championship loss, 11-5 with an AFC Championsip loss, and 8-8.

Yet Rex is dead wood and Parcells at 71 after back-to-back mediocre jobs should come out of retirement.

I'll worry about the next GM when it's clear we need one. After two games, not sure that's necessary.

Lets go dig up vince lombardi's body and have him sit in Tannenbaum's desk for the remainder of the season. At least we'll have a better GM

If I am Woody, I tell Rex to play til the half is over and put Tebow in more.

The amount if people who want Rex out baffles me. Can anyone come up with the last time this franchise has had upwards 30 wins in 3 seasons? Not to mention one season was with a rookie QB who turned the ball over very consistently in the first 11 or so games. Turned the ball over a lot last year too. team Still had a mediocre season.

Parcells and a time machine? Because Woody had his shot at Parcells ten years ago.

NO. I'll admit that Parcells is one of the best football minds NFL has ever seen. Turned around many so many doormat franchises & unlike so many other coaches doesn't need franchise QB to fall in his lap to challenge for SB. Rebuilding the offensive schemes around Hostetler to get his second SB when Simms went down was one of the most brilliant things I've ever seen a coach pull off & the Parcells coaching tree has multiple SB victories after he walked away from the game.

However, the Big Tuna himself is done. He's got his accomplishments, hit the later years and appears to be enjoying his current lifestyle. When Parcells was ready to leave Miami it was over for him career-wise. They begged him to stay put but should've just let him walk away.

If I was Woody I would go to sleep every night surrounded by many beautiful women on an enormous pile of money and sweets.

Bill Parcells would not take Mike Tannenbaum's job.

Screw Parcells. He left because Woody bought the team basically. Parcells left unfinished business. He left the Jets hi and dry. He gave us Belicheck who left the next day. I'm sure he knew Belicheck was gonna do what he did - Parcells probably told him to. Rex Ryan is a loyal Jet. His dad was on Jets staff. Parcells screwed the Jets. No thanks.

How bout bringing in lombardi, the dude on nfl network?

Tanny needs to hold pace, harris, scott and holmes accountable for not playing up to their contracts. Rex is at fault here to, he gushed about all these guys and now they are pissing all over him. They are all playing like shit except for pace who is decent but not anywhere close to earning his cap number.

Its pretty bad when your highest paid guys seem to be on cruise control.
There is a general lack of accountability throughout this team and it needs to change.

    WTF Rex!
